- Our college infrastructure with comparison to other colleges in Chandigarh was much better buildings are proper developed and classes and technology and use of projectors, every class is maintained and if something bothers we can raise concern.
- Our college canteen makes healthy food, it’s not a high maintenance canteen but they take care of hygiene in every basis of the system as food is important and is served properly which is good
- We have so much participation and clubs that makes the environment more energetic since children work actively in every department and learn a lot from there and college support these actives in many ways which is good
Dislikes
- We although have maintained classes but we do lack air conditioning system and it gets hard in summer time when it is at peak , we have ac in some departments but mostly we don’t if that could be fixed would be great
- During elections it gets hectic in our college because students are quite energetic even police have to come to calm things up so everything gets a lot messier that usual during that days
- We should have atleast some amount of compulsory attendance since we can offer fine system students take things lightly which created issue for later but over all not much but some action should be taken on people not attending classes anytime
Course Curriculum Overview
My course bcom is rated top in this college and that's why after a commerce background this was my top choice, we have a lot of theory knowledge and accounts and other subjects but most of it it one and paper we don't get a chance to face things realistic way with a practical approach The teaching is according to theory approach every part is explained and solved to let us know and doubts are covered, we have exams of 3 hours and sufficient to cover the exam accounts and numerical subjects can be difficult somewhere theory as well but not much to fail everyone
Placement Experience
We have a proper placement cell where a team is elected where students are included as well to carry out process smoothly, we have a condition that a student with all cleared exams can sit in placement we might cross out a lot of applications but percentage of people that are selected is u can 80% average package is around 600000 rupees related to the role of eithe accounts audit assistant I will be doing mba soon
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure in our college is same for everyone, it tends to increase 5-10% that too because of inflation or else till now it has been the same, the course cost less that 200000 that too it's paid in installments every year basis but excluding the cost of examination fee and attendance fine is excluded. Our college gives benefit of placements at a good level many companies like Deloitte which is included in big 4 comes for placement and many kids get chance to be selected even banks like icic and others visit so we have good number of placements although after bcom the package is not that huge but worth it. I was selected through normal basis so not much knowledge about reservations but even that process is carried out smoothly since there is no waivers for that thing as well Year 1 to year 3 the fees per year was around 37000 so that actually around 1,11,000 not even 200000 so we can say that even additional expenses added won't go over 1,50,000. No scholarships were observed.
Campus Life
It was a good environment club life connects u with a lot of people and develops confidence in you. We have high demand and clubs are very famous and their positions respected, campus life is filled with college active and club activtied everyday something and some stalls are set up to entertain and raise awareness about certain things
Admission
My first choice was colleges in Chandigarh and I got confirmation from Ggdsd college I did apply for mcm and Dav as well but they were not my first choice The process is simple through application form and on merit basis no exams are taken
Faculty
Our faculty is good and student friendly, we can approach them anytime although if u have any document issue or some work the process might be long since it's a lot of running but they are friendly and tell u who to visit for what and what to do to get things done, Well the cell from where dmc is Collected are very irritated maybe because they solve doubts a lot from morning to evening but we only have a fix day in whole week when we can collect dmc depends course wise which day is alloted, Our course has 6 to 7 subjects, exams depends are easy or difficult but many fail as well and then show up for reappear if they don't study at all it's not hard to crack exams people clear it even they study a bit, course curriculum is important as our teacher let us know what is more important and what is not in syllabus saves our time
