Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BTech electronics communication engineering as I loved Physics in my boards . Now from job aspects this course is quite helpful because it has less competition that BTech CSE or Aiml . Also you can sit for both hardware and software companies in your interview as you will learn both coding and hardware parts. Also you can go for telecommunication companies. The vacancies of government jobs are also available for this stream. The syllabus can be updated, this I will suggest as the improvement. The exams are taken very frequently for example once a month which makes you completely ready.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are provided in many organisations like TCS , Google and other top companies. Many of the internships are non paid as they'll help you to make your CV look better . In case of paid internships the stipend is around 10000 per month or so . The duration of internships are on and average 3 to 6 months.

Placement Experience

4

The students can sit in placement from 7th semester. They will provide you mandatory and paid internships during your course . After that from 7th semester you can opt for placement. The placement percentage is 75 % as many students go for higher studies as MBA or MTech. The highest package of last year in BTech is 6 Lpa and lowest was around 2 Lpa . The average package was of 2.5 Lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual course fees is nearly 90000 per year, as semester wise it is 45000 . There is no concession for SC,ST ,all have to pay the same fees . There is no system of Management Quota. The admission fees is 50000 and caution money is 10000 which is refundable. Lab fees and other fees are included in the semester fees. Now , you can obviously avail government scholarships such as Swami Vivekananda merit Scholarships if you have 60 percent throughout or you can go for nabanna scholarship. There is no scholarship from college end .

Campus Life

4.5

There are Many cultural events held within the college campus such as freshers, Saraswati Puja and other fests . The library as all kind of books within the syllabus of every stream. The normal classrooms are non AC but it has AC classrooms also. College also has digital classrooms . Labs are well equipped and well maintained. Sports and other activities are also done in college

Admission

I chose this college as it is Makaut affiliated and the fees structure is quite feasible. Compared to other engineering colleges as Techno , IEM they'll just take money from you and the fees of Management Quota is high there. And other universities such as Adamas or SVU or Brainware, they are private universities and the quality of education is very poor there and they are just doing their business as they have no governing body. But Supreme College being part of Makaut is quite strict, at the same time it is budget Friendly, which made me to choose this college. In this fees range this is the best option. The admission process of this college is in 2 ways. One is through WBJEE or JEE mains exam and other is through direct admission. There is no case of management quota as other colleges.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members are quite good and most of them are PhD holders, so the quality of education are well maintained. Moreover they are very helpful and supportive to students. If I talk about the faculty to students ratio it is something around 1 faculty for 9 students. Also we have 1 mentor for each 5 students. The hod of our department is very much helpful. Coming to the exam part ,there are total 4 internal exams namely CA1 , CA2 ,CA3 ,CA4 and 2 Internal lab exams PCA1 and PCA2 and finally the semester exam. CA1 and CA2 are assignment based , CA3 is written exam and CA4 is CBT. The internal exams are not that difficult but the semester exam is quite difficult as it is conducted by MAKAUT itself .

Other Applied Colleges

Swami Vivekananda University - [SVU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering)

It's a private university and till now no placement record is out as it is established in 2019

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
