Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is hectic. But college union provides opportunities for extracurricular activities too. This schedule equips one to be a good physician in future. Final university exams are moderate to hard in terms of difficulty

Internships Opportunities

4

Compulsory internship is provided in the college itself for one year. 27000 per month is paid during this period. Work schedule is hectic since there is patient overload. House surgency equips one to be a better doctor

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for mbbs is around 25000. This is to be paid at the start of every year without delay. If there is a delay they will impose fine. For sc,st, selected oec students, this fee need not be paid.

Campus Life

4.5

There are ample opportunities for extracurricular activities in this college. We have south zonal fest, interzone fest, intermedicos, euphoria interbatch fest, Medex expo, intrabatch competitions etc. All clubs are actively working in college myself part of literary and theatre club.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are comparatively older than other medical colleges since this is the oldest medical collge in kerala. Also hostel facilities for boys are better than girls since the ration of gurls are extremely higher than boys. Menu for food is also better in mens hostel than womens. Hostels are very affordable

Admission

This college was my 2nd option in keam allotment. I couldn't get admitted to calicut medical college which was my first option because of the rank. I chose this college inspite of being distant from home, since this is the best in kerala and it is the oldest medical college in kerala. Admission procedure is via keam allotment and all india quota of neet.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty student relationship is not very much possible because of higher student ratio and lesser days of posting in each department. Faculties are well qualified and experienced. There will be 3 sessional exams in an academic year and the 3rd sessional is the model exam. Then you will have the final university exams each year. There will be end posting exams after each posting also

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
