NIT RKL FROM A NEWBIE PERSPECTIVE

The course cirriculum is pretty updated and up to date witch lot of real world application integrated with academic problems. if doesnt feels like only formula and theory but feels like we are learning something great and new. the cirriculum is quite diversed with subjects like robotics value ethics and communitive engish etc,. teaching methods of proffesors are pretty good and unique to make us understand better. the exams are for 3 hours and question are enough and completed in 3 hours with ease.

Intership season starts from third year onward with big big companies coming like google facebook reliance intel etc. we have to do projects and interal work and prepare for the interview then we have intership offer in our hand. on which pre placement offer is also available... so student can get placed from third year also. also the startup culture here is pretty good

The placements of our college is pretty impresive. With overall average package was 18 lpa previous year and more than 90% studemt were placed. To be specific many bug companies like google microsoft facebook cognizant jp morgan come to the campus for placemengt and take plenty number of student The highest oackage offered previous year was 120 lpa and circuital average was 26 lpa. Many interships programs are also there in 3rd year wchich provide pre placemt offer also.... my palns after getting placed here at NIT RKL is to do MBA from IIM as i aam much eager now to do a startup..

So total fees of our institution is 9,20,000 inr for full 4 year btech program. There are two types of scholarships or waiver offered here which are as follows:- 1: If the family income of parents are less that 1 lakh then the total tution fess is waivered and now the total fees becomes around 4 lakhs for 4 years. 2: If the family income is between 1-5 lakhs the total tutions fees per semester beacomes 20,833 which gives us the total fees of 5,27,000 for 4 years. Many if my friends are waivered which such waivers and the fees here in Nit rourkela is pretty low as compared to other engineering colleges. we can also apply for education loan from the bank for the college fees.

College life here at NIT RKL is very fun and stress free. Witch enough numbers of club one can learn anything they want. Plenty of time is left with student to join clubs amd do their extracuricular activites. SO many fest takes place every year like innovation vrishhi etc etc so student can enjoyy anything they want. Sports facilities here are pretty good witch a full olympic size swimming pool, well equipped gym, full size football groung 90 yards cricket ground table tennis badminton court , basketball court, lawn tennis court etc. so a student can enjoy any type of sports with indoor such as carrom chess etc. Student themself run these clubs and handle it which give them a good exposure and real leadership qualities.

Hostel for the first year is double occupied however from 3rd year we get single room. the room and well furnished and ventilated iwtch proper bathroom facilities and washing machine and water taThe food in mess is pretty diversed with different kind of cuisine everyday and is pretty tasty with plenty quantity so that one could eat to its fulest. Registration procces pretty hustle free and hostel are really affordable with only 5000 per semester.

First of all NIT RKL is a college of national importance and one of the best engineering college in India witch nirf ranking of 19 this year. i have applied for many other colleges also like BITS, other NIT'S, State Government and Private collges but the facilities that this college provide is enormous than any other college and also due to a great palcement recors i tend to choose this collge other many colleges.

So there are great faculties here witch very timely experience and great reasearch papers. The student faculty ratio in your college is also good with 1:10 ratio. Electrical faculty of mechanical department Dr. Rashmi Prasad is whom i like the most as they makes concepts unsderstand crystal clear with giving real life examples.. and there are no proffesors who teaches bad. Every semester we have two exams MID SEM and END SEM incuding internal assesment and viva and lap project. its pretty medium not so hard nor so easy but yet a few people fail due to there mischiveness and insincerity
