What Students Say
Likes
- The professors and mentors are very supportive, if we have any doubts in mind regarding anything they are always ready to help.
- I also like the quality of infrastructure, it was newly build faculty and almost every faculty in BHU is similar.
- Campus life is good too. You have a proper room to groom yourself by engaging yourself in many activities
Dislikes
- Although i like our infrastructure bt our faculty is small in comparison to other facilities of BHU.
- I think our faculty is needed to approved by AICTE or anything for better assurance.
Course Curriculum Overview
About my decision to chose this college that I've heard so much about BHU it's one of the best university out there the campus like the curriculum i liked it all. They prepared you for the real world but not every students get the chance like if you're chosen to be a student placement coordinator you're prepared to the real world by meeting HRs and others but the seat is only limited to 8-10 students and this is same for other curriculums too so the one third students is still left doing nothing just go to college and come back. The areas of improvement i want that they need to organise workshop very often where all the students can join and learn a few things to improve themselves. Timing of exam is not so hectic we get proper gaps in between our exams.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provide internship and a hefty amount of internship opportunities so that all the students can avail it. You need to clear interview round of that particular companies there are many companies like IREDA, BHEL, SUSTAINOMETRIC, UTKASH SMALL FINANCE etc. The internship role are as follows finance interns, business analysts, sales etc.
Placement Experience
After the second semester and before fourth semester students are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies visits our campus some of them are IIFCO tokio, Federal Bank, Sustainometric, Axis, etc the highest package was around 16.5 lacs and the average was 4. The companies offers various profiles like sales, marketing, finance, manager etc. Percentage of students getting placement was around 80%. My plans after getting the degree was simple just take a campus placement and start supporting my family.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our fee structure is divided into two payments thoroughout the course. The first payment is ?55,000 is for at the time of admission, and the second payment of ?55,000 is required after completing the second semester, upon promotion to the second year. This brings the total course fee to ?1,10,000. Regarding hostel fee, although I'm not completely sure, the approximate cost is ?4,500 to ?5,000 for every four months, which includes food. The is no fee variation across catalysis (General, ST, SC, OBC) : everyone must pay the same total fee of ?1,10,000 for the course. For scholarship, there are several options available. For instance students from Uttar Pradesh can apply for the UP scholarship, which can provide upto ?50,000. There are also scholarship available for students from other states. As for quotas, there are certain provisions during the admission process. The cutoff marks for SC/ST students are generally lower compared to others. Additionally, there is a shorts quota. TBC
Campus Life
There are many fests organise at the BHU level, apart from single faculty fests we have BHU level fest for example Kashi Yatra organised by IIT BHU, LUNAR, TECHNEX, SPARDHA etc where every faculty students can take part and enjoy the fest they are typically held in winter seasons. We have central library where every book is available plus we have our own faculty library where we'll get our course books easily. There are sports tournaments help very often.
Admission
I actually applied for GL Bajaj, Greater Noida and i attend that college too bt later i realised it's not fit to my expectation and i thought to quitting that college but i can't do that i already paid one fourth of the college fee and I've no where to go at that time because BHU results are not out at that time, basically i thought I'm not getting selected in BHU that's why i took admission in GL Bajaj bt after the 3 months of my previous college BHU results are out and luckily I'm selected. Then i withdraw my admission from GL Bajaj and took admission in BHU. The one of the reason i chose BHU is about fees. I'm actually belongs to a middle class family so paying hefty amount for college is bit difficult for us. Also the value of BHU is on whole other level.
Faculty
We have a good number of faculty, i think we have around 40-50 facilities with 50-60 P.hd. Scholars and the total number of students are around 1500 so the ratio would be 1:15 and it's good i guess. The relation of students and faculty is nice enough like we'll laugh together too. All faculties is nice except one or two I'm not gonna use their name out of respect but they have some ego issues with the students and gave them a low number even if you're good in exams. About the exams, we have two sessionals in between our semester like in total we have 8 sessionals and 4 semesters.
Interview Experience
Yes, there are few processes at the time of admission like firstly you need to clear CUET exams you get call letter only after you reached the cutoff marks soon after you cleared the CUET exams you needed to come to faculty where your GD and interview are held. The GD topics are random the faculty have few cheats and they draw one whatever the topic was you need to prepare on that in 10 minutes. My topic was How technology affects the rural area. And you need to prepare this all by yourself without any help of internet or by searching because phones are not allowed there also there are around 8-10 students group along with you at the gd round and half of them divided for pros and half of them for cons. In interview 3-4 faculties are there to take your personal interview and they can ask about anything maybe from your previous course or current affairs.
