Overview of MNIT Jaipur

My course structure is a bit old syllabus but after 2022 batch our college has implemented NEP2020 , so curriculum is completely changed and made more student friendly and advanced including some multidiscplinary courses also . In a semester 2 times exam happen mid sem (90min) and end sem(2hr30min.

I interned with Reliance Industries Limited , Jamnagar for 2 months . I got this internship through ON- campus drive . I was placed in CES Inspection department of DTA refinery at Jamnagar . My stipned was 30000 per month. Similarly various core and non-core companies comes for on-campus drive to recruit interns in 3rd year . We are also provided 6 month long internships . Research internship opportunities are also available at various institutes like IITs/NITs and IISc.

Placements for circuital branches are very good and for non-circuital branches they are decent in their core sector but stuggles a bit to get their dream job in IT sector . Overall average of MNIT last year is 11.06 LPA and about 75% students got placed. Number of companies visiting campus is 300+ . I will try to get placement first , and also preparing for GATE 2025 then may also opt for higher studies.

There is fee structure according to parents income in three categories such as below 1 LPA , between 1 to 5 LPA and above 5 LPA for general and OBC students . For SC/ST students there is complete tutuion fee waiver . I have paid fee under 1 lPA category . So my institute fee details are as follows : 1st year : 37565 2nd year : 34365 3rd year : 34365 4th year : 34365 Yes , there are scholarship provided by some foundations , central and state govt schemes , education loans and by our alumni fund.

Cutural fest - Blitzschlag , which is considedred one of the largest cultural fest in Rajasthan organised in February of every year. Technical fest - Sphinx which takes place in November . MNIT has well maintained sports facilities for almost every sport including cricket , badminton , football , volleyball , handball , table tennis , lawn tennis , yoga , chess room , kabaddi , kho-kho and gym. There are various clubs under CACS including dance , music , creative arts club etc .... There are technical clubs also like data science , robotics club , tinkering club etc ....

Hostels are good except few old hostels . In first year we are allotted triple sharing rooms and then after sencond year we are given single seater rooms randomly by hostel office. Food is good in govt mess but not good in private owned messes . only veg menu is follwed here except egg and omlett . Hostel fee for one semester is 32000 and 64000 yearly.

I didn't applied for any other college only participated in JOSAA and CSAB councelling and filled choices and got MNIT based on my rank in JEE MAIN . I chose MNIT because its among top 5 Nits and also nearest to my home town .

All faculties are from IITs/NITs or foreign universities and are easily accessible . In my department there are 16 faculties and about 105 students in each year . Prof Upendar Pandel because he is very student friendly . Assessment include internal(20marks) + mid sem exam(30marks)+end semexam(50marks) = 100 marks , there is grading system which is relative in nature . Difficulty is moderate level.
