Likes
- Faculty are really friendly and knowledgeable. They promote us to learn skills to cope up with the growing industry and indulge in research oriented work. We have multiple clubs that cover various departments and help us.
- Labs and facilities provided are really up to the mark. They also have trained lab incharges who guide us everyday and make learning better and organised.
- College hosts multiple fests and club activities like hackathons, codeathons and other cultural events, students can take part in other than academic related activities.
Dislikes
- The campus is slightly restricted. There are other campuses also present along with us, which presents a slight space crunch.
Course Curriculum Overview
All colleges in Bangalore are under VTU university, The course subjects are important but course contents feel slightly outdated as not many revisions have been made to update to latest tech trends across the world. Nevertheless it gives a string foundation to pursue any skill in the future.
Internships Opportunities
Fidelity investsments were the first to come. They provided 5 students with opportunities for SDE role. Dell Technologies offered 3 students with Cybersecurity Intern position. Boeing offered 10 students with various roles. All these companies offered a 2 month summer internship and few well performing students received ppo for the same.
Placement Experience
Second year students are eligible for on-campus internships where they are selected based on cgpa and theor skills. Reputed companies like Fidelity, Dell and Boeing come for this drive. During third year abd fourth year number of companies come for full time roles. Almost 2 months are filled with giving tests and interviews and we get to choose which company we would want to work for.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees depends on the type of admisison. If you get in through KCET, it's the lowest, around 1 lakh a year. Through COMEDK, it is generally at around 2.5 lakhs. For management quota, it varies based on branch, with CSE being the highest at around 10 lakhs per year and ECE naround 5 lakhs per year. Fees are increasing slightly each year due to the rising demand for seats. Scholarships are available, but mostly for specific categories or students below the poverty line, reducing total fees to about 20,000-40,000 per year.
Campus Life
The college has multiple clubs which are active. they cover alla spects like education, coding, robotics, culturals , Rotract etc. Yearly fests and evets are held where students eagerly take part and such events turn out to be filled with fun. Apart form this there are multiple places around campus which can be explaored by students. Overall makes a fun place to be.
Admission
My college has very good experienced faculty which other colleges lack. Most them have new teachers who dont have the expertise in the respective subjects. The placements are also relatively good and internship opportinities come knocking.
Faculty
The faculty are really approachable and knowledgeable. They help us in studying course material as well as out of course skills. They mainly help us get involved in research and publish papers. Each student is assigned a faculty who looks after them through out the four years. They take care of all aspects including academic, co-curricular and mental wellbeing.
