I took WBJEE in 2013 , I scored rank of 1800 in WBJEE and by councelling i got institute of engineering and management, kolkata. I opted for the college because it had 100% placement record till now. It had good and highly qualified teachers. And the main thing is the location saltlake.

Internships are not provided by the colleges. Actually students themselves arrange internship on their own . The general stipend is about 3k to 4k per month.

Talking about the placement ,IEM is known for 100% placement record, every year iem gets its student placed in top mncs with average package of 4lacs/annum. Highest goes upto 13lacs. IEM believes in placement actually. Companies like, TCS, Infosys, CTS, capgemini, tech mahindra, IBM, indian army and many more comes to recruit the students of IEM.

College conducts cultural and technical fests on january and july every year, apart from this we have book fair every 2 years and other seminars and nen competitions are held in the college premises.

Fee structure is feasible as compared to other states. bucause we pay 329000 for 4 years but the students pay nore than 10 lacs for the same standard college in bengaluru or hyderabad, etc

Scholarships are only provides for TFW category students and students of westbengal. loan facility is provided by icici bank which is in the college premises.

College basically focuses on quality education. IEM gives less focus on extra activities and sports. but from this year iem conducts yoga and gym facilities for the 1st year students.various robotics workshop are conducted in the college and good prize amount is allocated for the students taking part in it. All the students are traeted equally. There is no discrimation on the basis of gender, ethnicitym race, religion,economic or politics. so every students are treated as special one.

College donot have own hostel. they have taken some building on lease and run hostel on the same. Mess quality is good as compared to other colleges. The mess members are friendly. Two students remain in one room. hostel have strict rules and regulation.

Seniors are very helpful. they share their ideas and help students learn new things. we are never ragged by any of the seniors. the help in projects and studies. they guide us as our parents. we have alumni meet in our college every year. This year it was conducted in bengaluru. We invite the passed out seniors in the farewell parties and welcome ceremony.

Exams are very strictly conducted. We actually feel real competition inside the college. It has strict rules and regulation in examination and labs thy we learn more chaosly.

Faculty members are highly qualified . Most of the teachers have Ph.D degree and more work experience. We are free to elect our electives. library facilities are open to all upto 5pm. Teachers are always ready to assist students at every stage of life.
