Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum and Exam Structure is fair here. This course is very helpful to make me able to achieve my goals. I always wanted to become a software developer and now my college, my departmental faculties are helping me to full fill my desires.

Placement Experience

Currently, I have completed my 6th semester so till now I did not attend any job interview. I have an interview on next 20th of July for an internship which is actually provided by my department.

College Events

Every year our college and we arrange technical fest, cultural fest, even teachers day and Freshers' Welcome also. And I will be very happy to express that my department recently arranged a coding and a poster making competition in the last February and we all have attended those competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

First semester fees- Rs.55,350. Second-semester fees- Rs. 41,750. Third-semester fees- Rs.43,750. Fourth-semester fees- Rs.43.150. Fifth semester fees- Rs.44,950. Sixth-semester fees- Rs.43.950. Seventh semester fees- Rs.45,950. as per MAKAUT's new rule fees has been increased so I don't know the fees of 8th sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

Till now I have not opted for any scholarship so it is hard to explain how I have availed it as I did not get any.

Campus Life

Gender ratio of boys and girls is 2:1 in my college and even in my department. College provides us a very healthy, pure and beautiful atmosphere. Our college campus is very lucrative. The infrastructure of the college is very good, laboratories and systems present there easily can satisfy a student.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, that is a very important part and even I can say a specialty of the students of our college is that they are very cooperative. My seniors are very helpful. Till now I'm in touch with them and whenever I need them they always help me.

Admission

I properly cannot remember the date of my admission. On the basis of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination rank, I have chosen Computer Science and Engineering in Om Dayal Group Institutions. I had an interest in computer science that is why I have chosen CSE.

Faculty

Well, I am very glad to say that my departmental and even non-departmental faculties are very helpful. They are always available for me whenever I need them. Our HOD is a very good human being and even all the faculty members are very polite. They are very motivating and inspiring. They always encourage me to take part in every educational and cultural event and advises me how to become successful in life.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
