Course Curriculum Overview

5

every course here is completed linked with the real world application and also these staffs often link the courses with the current developments and current trends rather than taking the old classic portions. This helps the students to gain the best knowledge ever and this college has labs dedicated for each aspect of the students interests. The curriculum is linked with each other and the subjects that I study in this semester is linked with the next sem. The exams last for 3 hours and the level of difficulty is a bit hard but studying properly will surely give a good grade. Teachers dont care about how long the answers are they give the full marks even with 2 lines with proper keywords

Internships Opportunities

5

every student is asked to perform an intership and if students did not get any internships the college itself provides a good internship which is really good. skill based learing is done and also the staffs do certain projects and students can also join these projects when the teachers find the student eligible

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are given internships and those who excel well in the internships often get placed in the same company. Sometimes placements are clashed for both Science and Engineering students and the better one gets placed. Many startups prefer our college and our Dean has link with many startups. Based on the core companies, several core companies are seen here and on average 12LPA is the salary and mostly every student gets placed here and I will do my phD after this course and Im not into getting placed. unilever biocon bharath biotech sunpharma these are the big giants that took students with good package

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is around 3lakhs for the entire masters and if we perform well in the interview there is Amritavidyanidhi scholarship where the fees can be reduced to a larger extent and this is very benficial. For courses like Biotechnology and bioinformatics the fees is similar more or less 10000 rupees. As per now there is no reservation and the only way to get in is by appearing for their online examination and interview.

Campus Life

5

to begin with the students freshers day called " SWAGATHAM: " is celebrated. Every festival like Onam, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chthurthi are celebrated with high effort and there is big fest where celebrities are called up for dance and song programs yearly once. Library facilites are top notch, E libraries are also present and the students are given access for scientific articles sites and these articles are ususally paid. There is science club, wellness club, sports club, Music club which are constantly functional unlike other colleges where there is clubs only for name sake. Every year sports conducted - BIOLYMPICS are conducted and the best sudents are sent to inter amrita competition where they fight against other students across India

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The first years are sent to a seperate hostel in ashram where theres no signs of ragging. 2 sharing room with attached bathroom is present in the first year and later the students move to 3 sharing room with common bathroom. The hostels are very neat and tidy with 24 hours of water supply and good RO UV water with cold and hot water facility. The food is good and a normal south indian diet. Idli dosa chappati and sometimes pongal. no non veg given. Afternoon a meal with rice rasam sambar and poriyal saturdays and wednesdays eggs

Admission

I applied to SRM VIT BHARATIYAR UNIVERSITY and I preferred this college over those college because of the quality of education here. For the eligibility the the student must pass the bachelors with good grades over 8CGPA and should write an online MCQ test. If he passes the test an interview is conducted where the subject oriented questions are asked and the panel decides to opt the student

Faculty

5

The teachers are really the best and they truely care about the students and the teaching is on point. For example there is a subject called Molecular biology and there are 5 units in the subject, where each unit is taken by a different staff as each staff is specialised in that unit. Students can easily apprach the professors and they dont show any bias among the students all are treated equally. Shobha Nair is my favourite staff, she teaches biochemistry. She didnt directly jump into thermodynamics or anything like that, she slowly took the basics which created a good baseline for everyone in class and then she moved to the next topics. Mid term exam is done before the semester exam and continous evaluvation is done as this is the main mark for internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
