Course Curriculum Overview

In first year, mainly the syllabus is same for everyone and is mostly 11th and 12th syllabus but a little bit advanced. My course is EEE and I am pretty satisfied from the curriculum. They also include extra guest lectures and the teachers also help us to know which club to join.

Fees and Financial Aid

Campus is really clean and there are few canteens with good quality food. There are a lots of clubs and events that are going on throughout the year. Being in this college is really good. The teachers are also really supportive.

Campus Life

I am having a really good experience here. There are more than 120 clubs here including technical and non technical clubs. There is also a mental health care facility here. The infrastructure is really good and the cleaning staff work really hard to keep it clean all the time.

Admission

I gave JEE, VITEEE, COMEDK. I cleared jee mains but couldn't get a good not, I also cleared COMEDK but I chose VIT because it is more known than the college's I could get through COMEDK. Also VIT provides more opportunities and more international exposures.

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are very interactive and supportive, but few of them have some shortcomings like giving less marks and never giving full marks even if you did everything perfectly. The faculty to student ratio is pretty balanced and they are very easily approachable. They will frequently ask the students if they are understanding or not and ask them to come to their cabin for further doubts. In one semester, there are mainly three exams- CAT 1, CAT 2 and FAT. These 3 exams contain 70 percent of marks. The rest 30 is internals(assignments, quiz and PAT).

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
