Entrance Exam

The course curriculum is well designed including lots of practical knowledge also the COUY CURRICULUM has been revised by INDIAN COUNY OF AGRICULTURE & RESEARCH INSTITUTE, AS PER RECOMMENDATIONS OF FIFTH DEAN' S COMMITTE OF ALL INDIA FISHERIES COLLEGES. HENCE, THE COURSE CURRICULUM IS MODERN NEED BASED AND UPDATED.

Yes, the college provides INTERNSHIP in the final year of UG program with stipend BY ICAR, and also attachment with industries & implant training in order to ready us for PRESENT INDUSTRIAL NEEDS. Internship is provided for a period of 5 months with average stipend of 8- 10 thousand monthly.

There is a placement cell in the college but not active. But faculty & seniors help junior's to get placed in private companies, There is vast job opportunities in INDIA AS WELL AS ABROAD with a basic pay of around 40 thousand in the beginning

Almost all events are celebrated to name some are, INDEPENDENCE DAY REPUBLIC DAY ARMY DAY AIRFORCE DAY NAVY DAY KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS NSS DAY GANESHA FESTIVAL KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY DIWALI, CHRISTMAS, PONGAL WHERE AS EVENTS RELATED TO DEFENCE ARE GIVEN MUCH IMPORTANCE AS THEY ARE THE REASON WE ARE HERE IN PEACE TODAY ENJOYING ALL SORTS OF HAPPINESS. Fee structure is very feasible , as it being government college no extra charges are levied on students. Every Semester it's around 3- 5 thousand maximum & not more than that. Also there is concession in fees for SC, ST & OBC STUDENTS.

COLLEGE PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP FOR TOP 3 STUDENTS FROM EACH BATCH ALSO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP OTHER THAN THAT STATE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP CAN BE AVAILED BY ALL STUDENTS AND ALSO CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP AND SCHOLARSHIP GIVEN BY PRIVATE FOUNDATION ARE ALSO AVAILED BY STUDENTS AS PER THEIR CHOICE.

Their is a PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT with world class top notch facilities for various games like, BADMINTON SWIMMING POOL TABLE TENNIS BASKETBALL BALL VOLLEY BALL CRICKET FOOTBALL ETC... LABS ARE OUTDATED AND ARE IN NEED OF RENOVATION

Hostel campus is very serene peace and rich greenery with world class top notch infrastructure with well furnished rooms with 3 per room capacity and well designed reading room , mess , and tv hall & also god's bathroom and place to wash clothes and overall 24*7 security and CC cameras installed in HOSTEL CAMPUS

The alumini network is very strong as it being the first FISHERIES COLLEGE IN ASIA the alumini has spread all across INDIA & FOREIGN countries. They help junior's very well in all aspects also in getting jobs.

It's divided into INTERNALS & EXTERNAL EACH WITH 50 MARKS. INTERNALS HAS 50 MARKS DIVIDED AS OF BELOW, MIDTERM EXAM - 20 MARKS PRACTICAL EXAM- 15 MARKS RECORDS & ASSIGNMENT - 10 MARKS ATTENDANCE - 5 MARKS. AND EXTERNAL EXAMINATION IS FOR 50 MARKS, TOTALLY MAKING IT TO 100 MARKS.

I got admission through ENTRANCE EXAM i.e, CET COMMON ENTRANCE TEST IN KARNATAKA. Also the college is available only to students who secure top 4000 ranking in COMMON ENTRANCE TEST conducted by KARNATAKA EXAMINATION AUTHORITY. THEN WE NEED TO DO OPTION ENTRY ONLINE IF OUR RANK IS ELIGIBLE FOR OUR OPTION ENTERE THEN WE WILL BE ALLOTED THE COLLEGE OF OUR PRIORITY AS ENTERED KN OPTION ENTRY. HENCE, AS MY RANK WAS 1279 I GOT THE COLLEGE AS IT WAS MY FIRST PREFERENCE IN LIST OF OPTION ENTRY.

All the faculties here are PhD holders with vast experience in the field, are friendly and with great knowledge, also the faculty here give utmost care & support to each &every student equally. To be frank 3 Faculties are very negligence in their work & also in taking theory & practical classes.
