- There are a lot of things to love, it's very affordable
- It offers a great experience and gives a better placement to most of students
- All the professors and seniors are very cooperative, all time it's like a festival within the campus
Dislikes
- Like every engeneering college girl ratio is very poor, in my department out of 50 students only 6 are girls
- In case of education it is best, so sometimes students get in pressure for syllabus
- Hostels are not such great but I think it depends on student not on college
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm new in this so I have not any clear idea, so I just enter in this course but now I am thinking civil is better than this so I'll try to upgrade in the next round. In real world of concrete civil and construction engeneering both are important.
Placement Experience
Some department get 100 percent placement, and all other department aslo 98 or 97 percent placement. After 3rd year students can give the placement interview. As construction is lower department of the college it's highest package is about 12LPA and on an average 9LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Ok so basically Jadavpur University is offering us the lowest fees I have ever heard. I have already paid 5000 for seat acceptance which covers also semister fees for two years. And 710 for admission. In case of hostel fees like I not sure but I heard it 25/ month. It has no own scholarship but most of the student get government and private scholarships, university help us to get easier.
Campus Life
Jadavpur University is full of festival through out the year, it's environment is festive. But the biggest festival is the annual festival FETSU which is organise by passed out seniors working on reputed companies.
Hostel Facilities
Most of students get hostel which is at very low cost as said earlier, hostels are not so excellent but good. Bathrooms are very clean. In our hostel every student get a single room. For rented flat, some student whose distance is near from college doesn't get hostel, so some of them rent flats though it's very costly nearly 4000 for e room.
Admission
I just applied Jadavpur University on choice filling, become it the best engineering college of West Bengal, and this also offers in campus placement. Most of the student from the college get placed with a good package.
Faculty
I'm just new so I can't tell exact ratio of students and teachers but I heard there are so many qualified teachers in every department. Teachers behave just like friends, the young ones plays with us. If someone doesn't get in campus placement, then teachers help them to placed. I'm sharing a story in the time of my admission time, I forgot a document to submit and I have to submit it within three days but it was not enough time to issue the document, so the authorising professor gave a note with the stamp and signature and guide me to get it .
Interview Experience
Our state West Bengal conduct a entrance exam for engineering is called WBJEE , you have to rank within nearly 3000 if you are a general candidate. In case of reservation it may be extend to 10000. There are no interview just clear the entrence exam.
