Teachers and awesome location and it's nearer to the hospital easy for practice experience
Hospitality in the sector, enhanced scope, dresscode, the course are absolutely fine
Teaching and non-teaching staffs, the cultural programme are celebrated in Grandeur

Dislikes

Duration of the course is four years which is a long period for the students
Hostel food is not as good as expected though
College interior is giving an old vibe should be renovated once

Course Curriculum Overview

I had interest on medical field n there is no other sacred work than serving the mankind, hence I chose this course. The course comprises human anatomy physiology, psychology sociology, human n environment statistics, and many more which is really awesome to build the potential of a student in the outer world.

Fees and Financial Aid

College of nursing, Berhampur Odisha is a delicate institution for persuing nursing education and nursing practice. For Basic BSC Nursing course, the yearly fee with hostel charges is 19,500 and it is 5000 less in case of reserved categories. All govt. Scholarships and some private institutions scholaship can be availed if you are eligible for those.Thank you!

Month jan-feb : FRESHER'S PARTY and SARASWATI PUJA MARCH APRIL- HOLI JUNE- SUMMER VACATION AUGUST- ANNUAL SPORTS SEPTEMBER - GANESH CHATURTHI OCTOBER- WINTER NIGHT DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS DAY N NEW YR AND many more national events like republic day, independence day and birthdays of freedom fighters are also celebrated in a joy in our college

Admission

I have chose this college as my dream college to pursue my course as this is the oldest college of our state odisha providing nursing education. It is far from my residence still I preferred this institution being loved by its facilities and teaching actually. I have chosen the right one.

The students ratio is Boys:Girls = 30:70 Faculty to students ratio Faculty: students= 2:50 This 4 yr course is having 8 semesters and semester wise exams are conducted. College is under cctv surveillance so no malpractice is there inside the exam room. Marking is slightly tight which will compel students to prepare hard for the exams.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
