Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good, different clubs are present such as diversity club, dance club, fashion club etc. Also there arearge no of canteens inside the campus itself and the campus i very big club he sports area too.

Admission

I choose this college as it was close to my home, this is the first reason as i can travel daily safely. Also the reviews for this college were very good on google and other platforms. It provide a vast amount of co-ciricullum activities too. It is to be said that known and very successful companies come for the placement in sharda university, companies such as google ,microsoft also takes students for jobs and internships which was one of the major factor for me speciallu. Also the reviews from the friends and families were good enough to convince.

Faculty

1.5

Majority of the faculty are very bad and non cooperative towards students. Theya re very rude sometimes and also doesnt try to understand our part. There are 2 exams in a single semester, one is mid term examination and other is the end semester examination. 50 marks are taken from end sem, and 25 from mid sem exams and rest 25 from internal assesment.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
