Good college, with huge exposure.

It's expensive. Apart from this college is nice. It has a big, beautiful and green campus with students from all over India and few from abroad. You get lot of exposure. We have a hospital within the campus. And a huge auditorium.

Entrance Exam

It was quite weird in the first year as we were supposed to study biology. But now regulations have been changed so no need to study biology. And rest the Curriculum is good. You get chance to choose faculty of your own choice from second year onwards.

I have no clue whether college provide internship or not. But yes several internship fair are organised by college. College do provide funding for research or start up. They are several clubs in the college where you can work and gain lots of knowledge and experience.

The placement and job opportunities is good. This year highest package went to 38.5lac per annum. Average package lies around 3-4lac per annum. Several companies comes for recruitment which includes Tcs, Infosys, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.

Aaruush is the technical fest and Milan is the Cultural Fest. Technical fest is celebrated in odd semester and Milan in even semester. Apart from these two mega events we have several other events like shuru, , mozofest and other departmental fest like Ultron, Verve etc.

It's expensive. Tuition fees for CSE department is 2.5 lakh per year. And then you have to pay exam fee which is around 3000 per semester. Then for hostel without ac is nearly 1lac per year. And with Ac its around 1.8 lacs.

There are several scholarship options available. First they offer you scholarship based on your rank in entrance exam. If you score rank in top 100. Then you get 100 scholarship plus 1000 as stipend. Then apart from that there are scholarship based on performance on studies in your semester, sports etc.

They are several technical clubs as well non technical clubs. We have music club, dance club dramatic club. And technical clubs like Google club, morzilla club, Adobe clubs and several motor car clubs and many more. Labs are good. And sport facility aren't that good.

Hostel are quite descent. Rooms are usually three sharing based. However there are several options to chose from like 2 sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing. AC, NON AC, attached bathroom or common bathroom. There are nearly 30 hostels in SRM. And mess have two options- North Indian mess or South Indian mess. You get sport equipment to play. Bathroom are clean.

Alumni network is strong. Alumni meet are conducted where we get to interact and know there experiences. Senior are very helpful. They guide us and help us in academics as well in other things. They are like our elder siblings.

We have hell lots of exam in SRM. We have three sets of paper for internal which consists of 10, 15 and 15 marks respectively. Then we have 5marks for assignment and 5 marks for quiz. And rest 50 marks are for main semester exam. Apart from theory exam, we have model practical exam and University practical exam.

To get admission to SRM University, you have to give an entrance exam conducted by the college, SRMJEE. It's an online exam which consists of physics, chemistry and maths. Once you get your result. You will be called for counseling based on rank. Then in counseling you can select your branch and book your seat by paying the approx fees of the first year.

Some faculty are good, while some are bad. Some faculties have great knowledge in their field and they are ready to clear all your doubts. Most of the faculty are from local university of Tamil Nadu or passed out from SRM itself.
