Likes
- Theres are alot of things i personally like about my college .Firstly it is away from the busy streets of kohima it is located in village with clean air and exposure to greeneries there are many potential areas that can be better too
- If u think of college life it is totally encouraged u choose this college it host many events related to students welbeing .One of the main events include winfest which is a festival in the college that focuses on sports culture and literature
- I am not well versed with the other department but i personally belive that our math department with only just a power of 14 teachers the alumnus of math has gone beyond heights as i am still on the learning process here it'll take time 2 come 2 conc
Dislikes
- The are few to no dislike but i wish the library books are updated as most of them are out of date
- I also dont like the fact that there are less buses for the students
- The infrastructure is fine but the shortage of water in the bathrooms is a disappointment
Course Curriculum Overview
I believe that all courses has it pros and cons And it always depends on the person who is taking the course.Math is what ive loved since highshool never really thought of studying it my whole life but as of now i enjoy it Talking about scopes personally it has better scopes than the other courses There's a myth in my state that we are born to be bad at math but it all comes down to the person if there's interest there's hope As per the teaching methods i wish we have enough time to learn what we are studying than just mugging the notes and vomiting it in the exams just for cgpa I think that the teachers should give atleast 5 min at the end of the lectures for any doubt rather than just giving the notes and walking out
Fees and Financial Aid
We pay admission fees twice a year that is for 2 semesters Main hostellers pay an additional fee of approximately rupees 3000 per semester There arw no other additional fees to be paid since it is a government college and the other fees are covered by the government itselves
Campus Life
Annually we celebrate various events and festivals Some examples are origin fest which focuses on culture.Winfest which focuses on sports.Foundation day and other various events hosted by different departments There are also various clubs like nss nature science physics literature etc The college also provides ncc (air and army) There exist a students body which is elected by the students The college and clubs host various activities such as essay writing poster making debates semester league and etc
Admission
I had applied for kaziranga university and delhi university Personally i still want to go to du but at the time of admission i had made some mistakes for which i couldnt avail the seat I chose this college since its the best in the state also it is very near to my home For out batch we had admission test after which as per the ranks we were given the right to choose the course
Faculty
There are very few faculty members in our math department has compared to other colleges in india But with these fews teachers we are able to communicate with them as they guide us in a nurturing way There is a teacher who gives insights about the scopes of taking math who really inspires us #reality check too Gives us time to reflect on what we are studying and helps us think(which i believe is the most important thing in learning) She may teach us only 1 or 2 topics a class but at the end of the lecture we are always sure about what we learnt
