Remarks

Since there are two sides of a coin similarly in my college too there are both positive as well as negative things. Positive things are faculty, infrastructure, sports, societies, extracurricular activities and most important the greenery. While some negative points are the location, some crowd and u won't be able to find a good place to eat outside the college.

Merit List

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

According to me the course is well structured. Everything is in sequence first you begin with an introduction then an intermediate level and then finally higher level. So overall the course is perfectly designed.

Internships Opportunities

No. This facility is not present to date. But there some societies and cells in the college managed by students who are working on internships. They contact companies and give students the opportunity to work.

Placement Experience

2

Since I am currently studying I cannot describe my personal experience. But all I heard from seniors and super seniors is that the placement and job opportunities are not up to the level. Companies do come but as I said not up to the expectations of us.

College Events

4.5

There are many events which are celebrated in our college. There are so many that I can't name them all. There are many societies that conduct these events and an annual fest is conducted every year in which both cultural and academic activities are done.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is a government fund college affiliated with Delhi University. So the fee is very low. For instance, in my course BCom Hons the fee for 1 year is 12000 to 13000 which if you compare from a private institute will cost you more than 50000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is available in our college but I don't know the procedure. Because I had never used that provision so I cannot tell that. But it is for sure that some kind of scholarship is provided by the institution.

Campus Life

5

As I mentioned in the infrastructure answer the college is full of these activities. There is a volleyball court basketball court badminton court cricket ground and nets softball ground archery indoor games facility gym and all types of the lab with the latest equipments are available.

Hostel Facilities

3

There is no hostel facility for boys only girls hostel is there in our college. So I can't tell about the hostel. While the infrastructure of the college is extravagant. You cannot get a better infrastructure than this in what we pay. Even college which takes high fees cannot match our infrastructure. It is full of greenery. There are smart classes, gyms, ground, one whole building an auditorium, 5 seminar rooms, conference room, girls common room, medical room, facility for almost all sports and many more things.

Alumni/Alumna

In my personal experience, I found my seniors supportive and helpful. They are always welcome us. Whenever we need them they are there for our help. And even the alumni network is helpful they allow us to use their networks and learn.

Exam Structure

There two types of exam one are internals and other known as externals or university exams. The basic frame is that 20 marks for internal, 75 marks for external and remaining 5 for attendance. This is for theory subjects for practical subjects in vary.

Admission

Basically, for BCom hons, all you need is to clear the merit list. If you clear the cut off then you are eligible for getting admission. After clearing the cut off all you gonna need is to visit the college with required documents and after there verification you are supposed to pay the fee and now you are a student of this college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is superb they are really supportive. The notion which I had earlier about the faculty was wrong . What I had heard was that in Delhi university teachers don't come to take lectures and don't give time in Maharaja Agrasen College teachers are really kind and they take all the lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
