My own experience

Overall I would say I had a great experience till now. I have a positive remark in my mind. My classmates are very helpful to each other we used to live like brothers. All the seniors are very helpful and good behaving. Overall a great experience meeting people from all around INDIA no difference between North and South.

Taking about my opinion the course has to do with ship designing also from the name Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering It's clear that it the study of ship's Architecture and hydrostatic stability.

Yes, during our course We had two internships 1st during the 5th semester and the 2nd during the 6th semester. The overall experience wasn't so good. There was no stipend for the internship. The college paid for our internships.

Taking about the placements and job opportunities the college is not up to the mark. Yes, there is placement in our college but not everyone is satisfied like only the toppers get good placement. But, now The UNIVERSITY is committed to providing placement and started the placements cell which is responsible for providing placement to each student.

Talking about events we celebrated in our college we celebrated all the festivals and cultural fests. The festival we celebrated past year was Holi(despite there was no holiday we enjoyed), Onam(this is the most cheerful festival and we enjoy making Rongolis), Diwali (this is also the most happening festival for us) Christmas. There is also a cultural fest in our college.

Talking about the fee structures I would say It's expensive for a government college like usually the fees for a government college is quite lowered. Our yearly fee is 2,25,000 in which we have the academy fee, hostel fees, cost of uniform, books and sports dress, etc.

Talking about scholarships there is a merit based reward for the meritious students like toppers of the class. In this scheme college gives Rs 1,00,000 to the first student, the second and third get Rs 75,000 each and the fourth and fifth get Rs 50,000 each. There is no loan facility on our campus bus you will get an easy loan from any government bank cause It's a CENTRAL UNIVERSE.

There are a lot of extracurricular activities in our campus like sports, dance, and music. We used to play cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball. We have a volleyball court, a baseball court and a ground for playing Cricket and football (not simultaneously but alternatively).

Talking about hostel infrastructure and facilities I would say the hostel is the best like It's a newly built building with Wifi facilities and each room is provided with a balcony. The construction is quite different from the last hostel we had. There is good hygiene maintained throughout the room and food is also not bad.

Talking about the alumni networks we have a good relationship and bonding we used to connect with each other. All the seniors are very helpful and good behaving. We have seniors working in the industry. So, I can say yes they are helpful in that aspect also.

The exam structure is as per other UGC approved colleges. The exam is scheduled at semester end for the external marks and unit tests, assignments and viva is there for internal. The external marks weightage is 70% and for internals, It's 30%.

For getting admitted first you have to write the IMU CET UG exam then there will be counseling and afterward there will be a certificate verification. For that, you will also need a medical certification from a doctor approved by DG shipping.

Taking about the faculties I would say they all are well qualified and have proper training skills. All the Nautical faculties have sailed for almost 20-30 years. And The faculties of our course have quite a good working experience in shipyards.
