Likes
- It is constantly growing and developing in every aspect like infrastructure and its working on making a new auditorium for students and also it has library where we can find any type of book related our courses and can study there peacefully
- Its greenery is very beautiful and it has recently included new courses like bba ( which was added this year ) so it’s constantly developing and including new coursesand the libraries have ac to cool us in hot weather
- The computer labs are very good and the campus is equipped with free wifi for students where we can access the wifi anywhere in the university campus and it provides hostel and mesh and cafeteria facilities to the students
Dislikes
- There are a lot of courses which are yet to be added
- The transport facility is poor because the population of students is a lot while the buses are few in numbers due to which many students struggle to travel which is a bug problem and negative point
- This university does not focus a lot on extra curricular activities like sports for inter university and such so it lacks in sports culture
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is really good because my course is BTech computer science and engineering And I choose this course because it is computer science and the department has well equipped computer labs with fast and smooth working computers where we can do programming and coding and learn and grow So choosing this course was a good decision that i took
Fees and Financial Aid
Btech is of 4 years ( 8 semesters in total ) For first and second sem the fees is Rs 26500/- each and after that the fees is Rs 26755/- per semesters till 8th sem and the fees is fixed , it is neither increasing nor decreasing. There is no scholarship
Campus Life
There are alot of programs and festivals which happens in university like youth fest and independence day celebrations and janamasthmi celebrations Recently our department organised a program for national engineer day The library is very big and is of 3 floors and construction work is going for 4th floor Library has almost every book that a student needs to study for its course and related books also library has a seperate room for journals The facility are also good like seminar halls are fully ac and good and clean environment The labs are good and have smooth and fast working computers The university have coached for volleyball and kabaddi and a jabaddi ground and volleyball ground
Admission
I applied to DU ( Delhi university) and also applied to dce ( dronacharya college of engineering) But i tool admission is this university ( IGU ) because it was in my home city so i did not have to travel a lot to reach the college and so that i can live close to my parents Also it was a state university and government university with affordable fees whereas the dce ( dronacharya college of engineering ) was kind of expensive and it was noy affordable for me because i beling to lower middle class familiy I was not rejected from delhi university also not from dronacharya college of engineering But instead I intentionally chooses not to take admission there and took admission in igu To take admission in our college, a student must be have a minimum of 60% in bachelors or 12th class Also an entrance test is taken of 100marks and we have to get 45+ marks to qualify the entrance test after which counselling happens
Faculty
The faculty are really good and helpful , they always helps the student with a friendly approach amd frank nature , they treat everyone with respect and with manners and are ready to help any student who seek their help The teacher to student ratio is also well maintained
