Overview of student experience in Amrita Bengaluru

The course curriculum is fine compared to other colleges and their curriculum be it autonomous or from VTU. The frequency is either quizzes or lab evaluations happen around every 2 weeks and midsems happen once during middle of the sem and endsems happens at the end of sem and the difficulty is not so bad.

Internships are offered by many companies in our college. There are some companies which take students from a common and open for all hackathons like Flipkart, Walmart, Juspay, Tata Technologies etc. Many of them directly from college like IBM, Thermofisher, JLL, Arista, Fractal, Volvo, Honeywell, Caterpillar, Accenture, Presence etc. These companies are a few companies which do their full placement and interview process from college and offer various stipends depending from 10-70k depending on the job role and student's performance. Projects depends on the job description and job roles and it could be in software engineering, data science and testing etc. for CSE.

Placements are offered by college. There is a department called CIR which is responsible for the placements of the students and the students can start applying for the internships and full time opportunities mostly from their 5th sem. Companies offering a variety of packages visit the college and select worthy candidates who answer well on the topics for their domain.

This year the fee I paid is 3L. The tution fee is between 1.25L to 3L depending on the fee slab for scholarship. If you get in merit from the entrance exam held by Amrita you can pay upto 3L only based on ur score and alloted fee slab. For management quota the fee is 4L. There are totally 4 different types of fee slabs and apart from that there is management. Students can join by giving the Amrita entrance exam, JEE score or Management.

There a variety of fests in our college. We have Amrita Kalanjali, Kalakriti, Prakalp and many technical and non technical events organized by clubs. We had our biggest college Fest Dastaan which was a great success and source of enjoyment and entertainment. There are various clubs in our colleges which offer a wonderful to improve our skills and to learn. We also have several sports opportunities in our college like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball etc. and also there are intercollege and interdepartment tournaments for the same. The classrooms are spacious and have projector to make it a smart classroom.There is a really amazing library containing a large set of books, journals and also online source of information.

Compared to other colleges here there is a reputation that is always maintained and the faculty and performance students are fine and the college also offer decent placements. The experience of this college is good. Admission process is through Amrita entrance exam or Jee score or Management. After that based on the scores they can get their preferred course based on availability.

Most of the faculties have completed and have Phd. They teach moderately and know their subject well. For internals there are quizzes and lab exams, midsem exams. They have endsems exam or else project for the sem end.
