What Students Say
Likes
- Campus environment, infrastructure and equipment
- Workshop and internship opportunities and co curricular activities like clubs etc
- Module framework and accessibility of material
Dislikes
- Language barrier in the college with faculty and staff
- Very rude faculty and staff and discrimination on basis of language
- Some faculty discriminate on basis of language and take unethical actions by playing with the marks of students
Course Curriculum Overview
In terms of education the college does a good job with the relevance of the subjects to its practical base theory subjects are paired with relevant lab to enhance the learning by performing practical work, it gives a better understanding of the course and co relation of the education to its real world application
Internships Opportunities
As far as internships go college professors offer projects to work under then and the college offers internships international universities like harvards UC berkly and many more there are eligibility criterias for the internship though
Placement Experience
There are college placements offered, the college starts preparing intrested students from third year onwards offering help and mentorship programs, on an average the packages are 6-9 LPA but the highest package has gone up till 1Cr PA personally i am not interested in placements as i wanna go for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay around 2.5 lakhs as my tution fee for my course per year, other wise management reservation students pay around 3.5 lakhs for the same course other than that there is only a fee for the the final exams which sums up to 1000-3000 depending ok the number courses and labs that have been registered, there is scholarship provided to merit students which is retained on the basis of their performance but over all the college being private does make is quite expensive
Campus Life
There is a very good campus life offered by the college, with a variety of facilities like gym, grounds, courts etc and there are a variety of clubs that can be joined by the students the infrastructure is also decent and there is a huge library accessible to the students free of cost there are events on campus round the year but there are 2 big events in an year 1 in each semester called AARUSH and MILAN
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility was ok-ishnot that great for the price of the hostels , the food was good at the beginning but gradually it became worse that was one of my biggest reasons for leaving the hostel after my first year
Admission
I had applied to only a select few colleges like symbiosis and amity and my application did get accepted but i chose SRM over them due to the campus life NAAC rating, and its variety of specialisation offered from other colleges
Faculty
For my department there are roughly 400 students which are taught by roughly 50 faculty members most of then are good ar teaching and communicate well and will help u with your studies but there are a few faculty that are absolutely horrendous neither are they good at teaching nor is their behaviour good towards the students then take chances and will reduce your marks for no logical reason In a year there are 2 semesters, each semester has is own set of subjects and there are 2 final exams conducted each year one for each semester, in a semester a subject marks are divided such that 60% is given through internal assessment like tests, presentations, project etc and 40% is through a pen and paper final exam
