comprehensive insights into campus life , placements and internship opportunities at SRM institute

The course curriculum is really apt we have subjects like constitution of India , environment studies , professional skills and practices for our overall growth . They have subjects like chemistry and biology too that I find irrelevant as I am a pursuing computer science engineering and find them of no use .

SRM provides a wide range of internship opportunities through its strong industry partnerships and active placement cell. Companies that frequently offer internships include Microsoft, amazon , TCS, Infosys , cognisant , capgemini... these internships comes with competitive stipends , typically ranging from 10000 to 50000 based on roles and company.

We become eligible for campus placement starting from the 7th semester giving us enough time to build a strong academic foundation and develop necessary soft skills . Many top companies such as TCS, Infosys , Microsoft, amazon , Google , Wipro visited . A total of 600 companies visited the campus this year making 10000 job offers in total . The highest package was 46 lakh and averaged package stood around 7 lakh among various streams . Around 95% of students were placed . My plans after completing my degree is to pursue a career as software engineer in tech giants like Google , Microsoft, amazon or continue my education with a specialised postgraduation course to deepen my knowledge and expertise.

Fees per Annum differs for different courses for my course that is btech in cse core it is 400000 per annum . The college provides various scholarships like based on how much rank you scored in the entrance exam and can be continued by scoring above 9 cgpa every year . For AI/ML the fees is 450000.

My experience with campus life at SRM has been incredible so far whether it be academically or socially . The campus is always buzzing with activities from academic seminars to cultural festivals. The cultural Fest is Milan held in February while the technical Fest is aaruush takes place in October. The library is well stocked with a vast collection of books , journals providing students with easy access to both academic and research materials. The classroom are well equipped with modern technologies such as smart boards, projectors . The sports complex provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor games such as badminton, cricket, basketball and football. There are numerous clubs catering to different interests such as srm music club , coding clubs , debating society , entrepreneurship cell and more .

The hostel facilities at SRM are designed to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for students. The hostels also offer air conditioning for those who prefer that option . The rooms are available in double , triple , four and six sharing . Hostels provides 24/7 Wi-Fi , common areas for socialising, laundry facilities, 24/7 surveillance and guards at entry points . Hostels provides a mess facility with rotating menu that serves breakfast, lunch , evening snacks and dinner . Both vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available. The hostel registration process is straightforward and is done through srm students portal . Hostel fee ranges from 1.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs . For students who prefer renting PGs and flats many of them are available in nearby locations such as Potheri , Guduvancheri and Maraimalai Nagar.

The college campus is really big and beautiful with top notch infrastructure we even have mac lab . Enormous library and nice classrooms. I choose this college because it's NIRF ranking was better than other colleges I got selected into. And I am glad I choose this college. The admission is through SRMJEE exam with is held in 3 phases .

The faculty to student ratio is good and the teacher are also good they teach really well and help a lot in growth they keep on pushing to participate in various hackathon and events . Our faculty advisor mr rajmohan is really good he genuinely cares for his students and wants them to succeed. We have 3 CTs and 1 end sem that is University exam . We have to give exams whole semester. Most of the students pass the exams .
