MITM (Sindhudurg) college review

The course curriculum is very helpful and teaches a step by step study of the subject. As the course is for 4 years and each year has 2 semisters. For the first two years i.e for the firsg 4 semisters students have maths as a subject. The overall curriculum is very good and helpful for study.

The yearly fee for computer engineering is yearly 68,000 Rs. Most of the students can apply for EBC scholarship which minimizes probably 40-50% of the fee depending on the scheme. Also other schemes that are for minorities or for some castes reduces the fee too some what 10,000rs. Also the staff is very helpful to let you understand how these scholarship schemes work and how you can fill the form for these scholarships. One can ask the staff for more information about the scholarship.

There are many annual and technical events held in the college MITM. These events are very helpful in growth and for the college experience. There are many events including ASES, sports,annual gathering (Tarang) and many more. The sports days and Tarang are generally held in the month of March. Also there are many festival celebration the Shivaji Maharaj jayanti being the most important one. Other festivals like navratri is also celebrated in a blast. Sports events are also held for three days including many sports like badminton, basketball, vollyball, cricket and many indoor and outdoor sports. The teachers also help in many technical events. There are also many events for development and enjoying studies.

As I had a last minute decision for admission in the course I just applied for this college only. They informed me that for admission purpose i have to apply for CET. Note: In order to take admission in any related college you should score a non zero number in CET exam. Also for FE admission the student must have completed there 12 th. And also for DSE admission (Direct Second Year) the student must be a diploma holder.

The faculties where very friendly as they create a very friendly and positive environment for study. As I took admission in FE computer i really liked the staff and how serious they are with study. There are mainly two unit test exams (the uts) and after that comes the semister exam. There are intervals of days between the exams during semister. There are mostly 5-7 subjects to study for a single semester. And as I am studying Computer Engineering there are in total 4 years and each year have 2 semesters. The first two years have maths as a subject (M1, M2,M3,M4) and the third and fourth years doesnt have maths. The faculty for teaching maths is very good and they also help us by taking after lecture classes or by taking classes on Saturday- Sunday.
