Likes
- The faculties and facilities are so good and they give you a feel good environment
- The food in the hostel and the canteen foods are best. The basic need is the food which is so good for everyone and ypu will get all the state foods in the surrounding at walkable distance
- The environment and the seniors are good and there was no ragging
Dislikes
- There was no AC during my 2nd to final year. It was tough during summers and fans were not enough
- There are plenty of ppl who smoke in the campus
- There is a issue with the parking and it tough to find a spot
Course Curriculum Overview
I like the curriculum of the course as i was interested in the biotechnology degree and the matched my interest and they were well structured and i after that i did my masters and the faculty helped me a lot with my application process. You can choose masters or placement. I didn't feel any difficulties with exam as they all are structured for every semester
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester you are asked to sit for placement classes and you will be trained 2 semesters for this There are plenty of companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT AND ZOHO The highest was around 4500000 and the least was 400000 per year The percentage is around 80% from placement and others go for masters or startups Am planning for masters after my btech
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees foe my course is 2.5 lakhs and i didn't get any scholarships. There was a exam fees every semester around 3000rs My frds who did other courses had fees around 300000 and max fees paid per year is 350000
Campus Life
We have plenty of fests happening in srm There are aarush and Milan the two top left fest in india where we get ppl all over the world to perform Srm has one of the best library in india with over 4floors and thousands of books Every class is equipped with smart learning facilities Sports and culturals and clubs are very active There are plenty do check out dsa of srm for every clubs and events
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in hostel for 2yrs Oori and Sannasi A The food and the facilities are too good we have ac and non ac ones and the price varies accordingly The location is within the campus and less walk and the food is so good We have veg and nonveg counters with North and south indian foods
Admission
I applied to other colleges like VIT and i have got in vellore VIT but i choose SRM because am from chennai and it will be near to my home and the rankings were the same for both. So basically to applu for SRM you need to write the SRMJEE entrance exam and you need to get into certain ranks to apply for the campus of ur choice. I didn't get rejections from other colleges
Faculty
The facilities are too good with helping students and there are many faculty who i like Dr swapna and Dr Sarkar are my fav. There was no one i disliked We used to have CT1 CT2 CT3 and SEMESTER Exams every semester
