Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is good and well prepared. It also prepared us pretty well for the real world applications but the only problem i'd say is the attendance criteria and too much rules with no faculty support to the students. The faculty just comes and teach the students and there is no external help to them you can't even ask your queries with them outside the college premises and they'll keep you hanging the only area I can suggest improving in is please provide your support to the students this is a very crucial time for us and we are already scared and frustrated about our future and if this is how we are going to be treated then I don't know how the future might roll for us. Please try to be a little understanding and lenient on the students we are just kids in an external environment looking up on your guidance and this is how you guide us. It's very heartbreaking. Teaching methods and curriculum is just fine not much problem with that it's just the faculties

Internships Opportunities

1

Internships are only for those students who don't get placed as per what they told us . I haven't done any internships so I don't know much but according to them you only get a 10-12k internship or ever less or even unpaid .

Placement Experience

3

The students get eligible for the placements from the 4th semester as per what they said and I'm in 3rd year currently but the highest placements according to them and their data is around 15-16lpa from MCA and we are the first badge of MCA(integrated). The companies visited according to them are vipro, Amazon, and other companies. The percentage of the students getting placed is around 60-70% and the rest of the students are put to do internships to get some experience until they get into a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee at the time of admission was 90,100 where they took 10k additional for the security and the fee for rest of the years is 80,100. They didn't tell anything about the scholarship at the time of admission even after asking them they just said "we'll let you know when we get any information about it" and they never got any information

Campus Life

1.5

There are clubs according to them in which I even applied to join in a club but I was never informed anything after my application. Even after continuously asking the teachers no information or any reply from any faculty and I've never seen any club in the college. Infrastructure is just good from the outside, the classes are not that good once you come inside the labs are built just fine but I won't over rate anything and just keep it honest, and it gets real.bad at the time of summer the fans doesn't work well and the lights goes off a lot in between. Library is good and you get books offered to you by the college but there is no help from the books. I'd recommend to study online instead and no fest no support competitions or anything are done here. We are not even allowed to play in the ground and basketball court in our lunch break or any free period. The sports teacher allocated by them doesn't give any resources to play and just say get the deans permission which you never get.

Admission

I chose this college cause of some family problems. Botth me and my cousin applied for the same course and decided to look for the same college only but it seems like I made a very big mistake to take admission In this college. It's been 3 years and I'm still regretting and I know I'll keep regretting this decision of mine in the future aswell. I was offered Jims(vasant kunj, Rohini and Greater Noida) and I honestly think Jims is a hundred times better than this College of mine. In every aspect whether it's faculty support, teaching, attendance criteria, not pressurising students about anything and all. It was a direct admission in my college, we just went filled the form and paid the fee and the admission was done , they told a lot of good things about the college at the time of admission such as faculty supports, incentives, teachings and everything and honestly I don't think we are receiving a single advantage they promised to give us. We are just getting exploited.

Faculty

0.5

Very bad faculty support. They don't understand the students at all whether it's an medical emergency or a family problem and keep pressurising students in leading to make them frustrated and take a bad step. They keep bullying the students , there are some good and understanding teachers aswell such as Namita Sharma, Sandeep, lakshma Ji, Satyam sir and all but in respect of the other faculty members they can't say anything either although they try their best to support the students but they get overshadowed by these in supporting faculties. The names of the faculties I didn't like are Apoorva joshi(Hod of our department), Priya Porwal, Anuj Mehta, Alka Singh and the reasons I have mentioned above. They all pressurize the student to an extent where they get frustrated and makes it very hectic for them. In terms of the course structure, there are 10 semesters in total in each semester there are 3 periodic exams of 30 marks each and one end semester exam of 100 marks.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

All Faculties are good and everyone has a lot of experience in their work also support students. Faculty qualification is best and their way of teaching and explaining is also good. Mid-term exams are very good and they are also very tough.
