All about my college

No nothing because our principal, teachers, students, Nonteaching staff are very nice. I never heard about bad remarks. Our college is very old. Its a constructed by Brahma Samaj laid in Calcutta by Raja Rammohan Roy. Our College holds its values and beliefs strongly and went along with the principles. They are no negative comments about it from outside.

Entrance Exam, Merit List

BA English Honours is a 3 years course under Calcutta University. We need to clear each year on the basis of the exam taken by the university. At first, the college has to take 2 exams and on the basis of the last one i. e - test/selection we are allowed to give the university exam each year. 60% hold to the 1st class of distinction and 50% onwards the marks hold good to get admitted for next course M. A. ( Masters).

In 3rd and final year, we are given the opportunity to do an internship that provides jobs easily as told by the senior students or ex-students. I am in 2nd year now so I am yet to see. I don't get stipend but college provides money to underprivileged girls and I really love it.

Freshers feast, Socials, College ' birthday, Any other inauguration functions, fashion, dance, singing, acting shows, concerts, celebrity arrival, debates, folk concerts, magic shows, food competition, national programs.

My college is under the West Bengal government so it doesn't cost much to get admit. It's around Rs 7000. In the first year, it is around 3000 and in the 2nd year it is 5000 and during the 3rd year, it becomes 7000. So the not much bigger amount is required to study here.

Yes, Vivekananda Scholarship and Kanyashree by West Bengal Government are given to us. Our Chief Minister provided these scholarships for each student. And college takes the prime responsibility to give this biggest opportunity to us.

Sports like a tug of war, marathon, long jumps, different fun games with a spoon - lemon, chairs, etc are held. There are many sports enthusiasts in our college. We have a science laboratory, geography labs and many more.

I live with my parents so I don't need a hostel. But the hostel seems to be good. Rating - 7/10. The hostel has good rooms with all the resources, water availability, good food given to the students, a good environment to live in.

Yes, they are really amazing and well behaved seniors. So helpful. Seniors are so well equipped and they always have helped us with books and showing us the right ways of studies and career. Seniors always provide us with notes. Don't know anything about the alumni network.

I had to fill up the admission form online with fees. Then I had approached for an entrance exam which I cleared at once. My 12th mark sheet + marks in the entrance exam together have provided entry to my college.

It's good. It's a girl's college so I am comfortable with the surrounding. Faculties like a beautiful garden, free wi-fi, a grand hall inside the college campus, canteen, a playground at the back of the college.
