MNIT college has all the facilities

The administration is bad and irresponsible and it takes months to repair damages here on campus. Mosquitoes here are a problem. When the door of my room was broken it took one and a half months to call a carpenter to fix the door.

Entrance Exam

The course curriculum is fantastic. We get to learn everything related to our branch. Every semester there are three term examinations and two lab exams. The result is calculated in cgpa out of 10. During the first year the course is same for every branch and they start studying their respective fields from second year.

The placement and job opportunities are awesome here. We have a college internship organized by well known companies like Oracle, Microsoft, etc. For placement companies like TCS, Adobe, Deshaw, Morgan Stanley, Tata Motors, Mahindra, oracle visit MNIT. The placement is highest for the computer science branch here which goes high up to 40-50 lpa. In the electronics branch, the highest package goes between 30-35 lpa. PSUs give the highest package of up to 20lpa in mechanical chemical and metallurgical branches.

We have one cultural one technical and one sports event held year. Blitzschlag is MNIT cultural fest. It is a huge fest that is hosted every year for three consecutive days in the month of February which involves fashion show panache a DJ night and one Bollywood night. Many colleges from north India participate in it. We have sphinx as our technical fest which is only two seasons old but it has already gained very much popularity and is still growing. Many north Indian colleges participate in it. Malviya sports tournament is held every year which involves many north Indian colleges participating in various sports events. This event is 3 days long huge event which involves all cultural and sports events. Other events are youthfest in month of January and the hongkong sixes tournament of cricket.

The fee structure is divided into the hostel fee and institute fee. The hostel fee is 45000 for odd semester and 26000 for even semester. The institution fee is 16400 and the tution fee is free for sc/st and obc. For general students along with the tution fee net fee is 61000.

I have availed top class sc scholarship in which I was given a laptop and 36000 rupees as fee refund. For laptop I was given 75000 rupees and they refunded me the amount of money that I spent on books and the hostel.

We have one cricket and football ground. A tennis court, a volleyball court a basketball court and a gym. We also have indoor games like chess. Also, the table tennis court is present on our campus. The sports facilities are very good and we have won many tournaments in various sports.

There are 9 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. All the hostel has wifi facilities and the rooms are fine. In the first year three students live together and from the second year, we get individual rooms. Food in the mess is very bad. The administration is irresponsible and bad. Girls hostel are beautiful and well managed.

Our alumni network is very strong and we have one group made to contact with them namely alcom(alumni community). Our alumni's fund our fests and they are an integral part of our college. The seniors are very helpful and they organize a student mentorship meet every month to guide juniors.

I got admission in MNIT by clearing the JEE main exam of 2017. The admission process is handled by JOSAA. I had to first fill choices of college on JOSAA website. When I got MNIT(my choice) I went to MNIT to freeze my choice then after I submitted fees and other important documents to get admission.

Faculties are quite knowledgeable here in their respective fields and some of them are graduated from IITs. But a few of them are able to correctly make us learn something they are teaching. The faculty student ratio is also moderate that is about 1:15.
