Likes

Huge university with a block for each faculties.
Multiple canteens to drool our tastebuds as we get every thing or rather every dish that we crave for inside the university campus.
Course taught here is as per industry requirements and therefore even though placements percentage are less, we still manage to find job off campus.

Dislikes

Probably the quality of students as direct admissions are provided so quality of intake is not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

BCA is much better than normal B.Com and BA as we have equal number of practical classes that in general engineering students have. We have a lot of assignments to submit and all in all, things to care for like every class test.

Placement Experience

TCS, Wipro and some other IT names have started looking upon our university but just 10-20% students get placements through campus. Rest all has to find it on their own and I missed the cut so I am planning to pursue MCA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for general category students like us it was 60k flat and remained the same for all the years. For general category it's exactly half or in some cases even lesser. Scholarships are availed by almost 50% of the class as there are n number of central and state scholarships to avail from.

Campus Life

Campus is huge with nearly 25 blocks or so. Auditorium to library we have it all and all are well maintained. In terms of sports we have a basketball court, volleyball court and a badminton court. We don't have much outdoor facilities but apart from that infrastructure wise no complaints.

Admission

My parents made it clear that I can't step out of Varanasi for studies and hence in Varanasi our university was the best available chocie. Admission process is simple as an interview is conducted and those who are capable of paying the fees are admitted.

Faculty

Faculties here are of some special note as I often called them coaches because of their strict nature. They were too strict with the attendance and will stare heavily if we mess around. Exams are now with the same pattern as it is the case with every single institution that we have monthly tests, practicals and mid semester and then the end exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

The Good and the Bad about BBD University by a second year student

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

From the 5th sem we eligible for the campus placement, There are various highly-reputed companies that come for the placement such as Microsoft, Paytm, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, hcl, etc. Their average package is 2.2 lakh per annum And the highest package is 10 lakh per annum, The average of students for the placement is 80-90%. My plan is to get a good placement from there and to do a job for one or two years after that I will prefer higher education.
