- There are many events conducted frequently.
- Such events are made mostly by students in Clubs
- Infrastructure quality is very good. And the campus area is huge as well.
Dislikes
- They need to manage the hostels well. They are unable to controll the limit of hostellers evey year. Which makes the hostels conjusted.
- They also need to learn to manage the Mess in the hostels, might need to improve quality too.
Course Curriculum Overview
I personally have chosen Computer Science Engineering course because I've dreamt to join the cybersecurity side as it will never die. And the curriculums taught are relevant according to the majors and minors of the student and the new curriculums being introduced are even more relevant and more helpful. The timing of exams might be more frequent but the difficulty level is not that hard so students are able to score good.
Internships Opportunities
There are alot of intership opportunities provided by our college. Like summer interships during Summer and Industrial Internships too. So that the students have an experience of working in a company. Alot of companies like JP Morgan, Flipkart, Google, Microsoft have offered stipends above 1 Lakh.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the 7th Semester which is the Fourth year to sit for placements if you dont have less credits. There were numerous offers made by companies like Mercedes (30+LPA) which was the highesr CTC in our college, Google, Flipkart, Amazon, Ola, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs etc. The placements rate here is above 80%. My plans are to take on Campus placements or else go for Higher studies like Masters or Doctrate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees im paying is 3 Lakhs which has a caution deposit of 20k. There are no such additional lab, development fees. Fee of my batchmates are paying 2 Lakhs some 4 Lakhs for tuition. It depends in which category you get the seat while giving the admission Exam.
Campus Life
There are Annual Fests like VITOPIA and annual technical fests like VTAPP and there are regular monthly events conducted by Student Association/ clubs. There is a vast range books and journals available in the library. The classrooms here are all digital with a projector and all the Labs have ACs and Technology availabilities like practical equipments and Computer systems. There are many student run social groups clubs which help them which social interactions and help them learn how to socialize with different peopl.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities currently in my rooms provided by the hostel is Fans, Wardrobe/Almirah and 1 all in one hanger for clothes, personal study tables and chairs with study lights. The mess quality is fine amd exceptional in some of the other hostels too. Registration for Hostels is done according to your CGPA. The more CGPA you have the more choices of room you get to choose from according to your affordability.
Admission
I personally chose this college because, One its close to where I live and Two I liked the environment here and felt so comfortable being with the people with the similar interests as mine. I did get selected for SRMIST Chennai
Faculty
The faculties here are very skillfull and help students throughout their Academics. There are enough faculties so there's no issue of less ratio of faculties. Few faculties I like are Dr. Virendra Kumar Verma, Dr. Saroj Kumar Panigrahy, Dr. Mahesh, Dinesh V, Miss Akhila, Dr. Alka Munjal, Dr. Deepjoy Katuwal, and many more who helped me learn alot. I mean there are barely any faculties that I dislike. Exams are conducted every 30 to 45 days 2 exams being Continuous Assessment Test and a Final Assessment Test. Not many students fail.They are very much related to the curriculum and subjects of previous semesters help for the upcoming advanced courses.
