Course Curriculum Overview

In NIT Rourkela, here is a very large scope to explore your intrested field . B. Tech in Civil is my own choice as I have intrest in infrastructure and building. Here, the placement also better than other colleges and from some IITs.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 264000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many Intership companies hired intern from this college with well defined stipend. Many clubs are also there for providing internships. Your project make your resume glorify and helps you to achieve aimed package during internship.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for internship which enhance their resume for campus placement. On the last year campus placement takes place. Maximum student get placed in companies during campus . Some students go for startup and some for further study.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total course fees per year (2 sem) is 2 lakhs 64 thousands . I have got fees waiver of Rs 62500 per sem , i. e Rs130000 per year as I am OBC NCl and income below 5 lakhs.Hostel fees is 80000 per year .

Campus Life

Here , annual fest Tech fest (Innovision) is celebrated. There are many club such as dance , music , music and band , finance, charity, etc. Classroom are fully hightech with smartboards and projector. Sports sector is the best one having all fields and event separately.

Hostel Facilities

In hostel we have one room for 2 person. Mess is clean and with good menu. 5 days non veg out of 7 days . Registration done on the basis of your CGPA . Very vig hostel residency with having fields and indoor games.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

I applied to all NITs Mechanical, Industrial Designing ,Electrical and Civil branch. I got seat in NIT Rourkela ID branch in 1st allocation, then float to same college Civil branch. I sure to choose it.

Here , professors are highly qualified and have a broad knowledge on their respective field . Student professor ratio is 10: 1. All the faculty are very good and nice. Class goes smoothly and understandable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in. NIT is the best for the high paided of the jobs
