Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are conducted on a semester basis and we also undergo continuous evaluation as per New Education Policy . Apart from that regular test , mid semester exams , mock practical test etc. are also conducted . The curriculum is good and up to date .
Internships Opportunities
The university of Delhi offers various internship opportunities from time to time ..the internship includes : the vice chancellor internship which is for a period of 6 months and it also offers stipend .
Placement Experience
The college offers placements, however it is very limited in my particular course as most people choose to go for higher studies both in Indian and abroad. People also go for UPSC CSE examination and SSC CGL examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee of my course i.e.Bsc. hons. Botany in my college is around Rs. 30000 which is to be submitted at the time of admission. The college also offers some concession/ scholarship to students who come from a weak financial background, but there are some terms and conditions which have to be followed.
Campus Life
The annual fest Lashkara is held every year in March- April . A lot of other events and fests also take place thorough out the year . There are a lot of societies and clubs that you can join such as art society, TED- X society, music society, dance societies. The college also offers different sports such as cricket, badminton, Tennis etc.
Admission
The admission in DU is done through the CUET examination. The colleges in my prerence list included: Hindu, Hansraj, Ramjas, Kirorimal, Miranda House above the college I got i.e. SGTB Khalsa . I also got admission in MCM Dav chandigarh, and PGGCG sec 12 chandigarh but chose Khalsa above them .
Faculty
In my course the faculty to student ratio is 1:20 , which is quite impressive. The teacher are well qualified and have a lot of knowledge and experience. Teacher are quite approachable and share a nice bond with the students.
