Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching and the curriculum is relevant to industry which influenced my decision. It is also suitable for further education, and is even relevant for higher studies abroad. The curriculum may also add more practical aspects and teaching methods.
Internships Opportunities
We mainly have offline internships provided my various companies like tata, jio and others. Our college also conducts student development programs in vacations which is an alternative for internships and also provide some internal internships to students giving them projects.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements in the 7th semester. Deloitte, jio, saint given, TCS, L&T and more such companies visit us for placements. Around 70-80% of students get placed and others go for higher studies. I personally plan on sitting for the placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees per year is 1,35,000. The tuition fees, caution fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees is all included in it. There is a one time registration fees of 2000. Fees for category students start from 25000. We have both merit based and need based scholarships and we are provided with all the details in our college.
Campus Life
Our annual fest is named TML and happens in February every year, we also have cognition our technical fest in September. We have all sorts of books including course books, text books, self help books, novels, tech magazines. We also have projectors in every classrooms and labs. We have many students groups and clubs and chapters like IEEE, CSI, aarambh (drama group) etc.
Admission
The college had a fun as well as a serious environment and focuses on student growth in all aspects that made me choose this college. I also applied to vidyalankar institute of technology and pillai, but went with sies because of the travelling time as well. I got into vidyalankar but not into pillai because the cutoff was higher of that specific branch. The admission process of my college is same as all the Mumbai University colleges and does admission through cap rounds.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is decent. All the faculties are approachable and helpful. Prof. Seema redekar, HoD of IT is one the best faculties and approachable for everyone. We have 2 internal exams and one final exams every semester. Most of the students clear the exams and the course is alligned with industry requirements.
