Course Curriculum Overview

5

The B.com is course is not easy but the way college had framed the exams made it simple to clear the exams. B.com course is of 3 years and it commences after 12th. and it's called the graduation course .the exam structure was relevant and just and was not a one that disturbed the mental health of the students but was a student-friendly one. the exam structure was divided into 2 parts Internals and externals. Internals exams consisted of 20 marks and external exams of 80 marks. Internals were held in September and January and external exams in November and March. The exams and the questions based helped us and taught us to prepare for other professional courses as the curriculum was the same and helped his improve our presentation and made us aware of our mistakes

Placement Experience

KC college has tie ups with many of the big corporate giants and also foreign firms. A campus interview was conducted for graduates of all streams. companies like Ernest and young, KPMG India, Tata, Reliance industries Ltd Infosys and many others had placed their request to hire students from our college and the interview was conducted in 3 rounds and students were tested in different aspects. I was selected for E&Y as I was pursuing CA and a big thanks to the college

College Events

5

ran is the most dominant and recognized event of KC college. Menu Festivals Home Campus Life Festivals KIRAN KIRAN Kiran - 2015 organized by S.Co.P.E (Student’s Committee for Participation in Events) stood loyal to its theme Get Unconventional. This was the second year that K.C. College let the limelight of Kiran focus on its own students exclusively. It ensured that every student from every department was a part of it. The healthy competitive spirit of this inter-departmental festival intensified a feeling of loyalty and belongingness amongst the teachers and students. Everyone affiliated with the festival felt unified towards one common goal – to finally let loose and make it all about the college’s spirit. The festival donned a colossal audience and ensured that every student felt responsible for the department they represented. The Chairperson, Ms. Vindhya Barwal and Vice-Chairperson, Love Kumar Doshi took great efforts to ensure that the events were “quirky” and “out-of-the-box”.and Vice-Chairperson, Love Kumar Doshi took great efforts to ensure that the events were “quirky” and “out-of-the-box”. Celebrity Judges like Tanisha Mukherjee (‘Big Boss’ fame) Chandani Bhagnani, Kunwar Amar, Ayush Tandon (‘Life of Pi’ fame), Mohit Jadwani (Radio Mirchi RJ), Ryan Victor, Nandish Vora, Anu Malik, Prachi Shah & Mr. Aditya Bhatt (Reliance 4G) graced the festival for various events. The audience was awed by talented performances in the fields of singing, dancing, drama and various other informal events. One of the most appreciated events was Scrap Queen which encouraged students to fortify their creativity in creating outfits out of newspapers. The Title Sponsor of Kiran - 2015 was Purple Creations. The other major partners were Rare Grooves, PETA, Wooler and Indiana Travels. The inter-departmental festival turned out to be a success among students and got media coverage in Maharashtra Times, The Asian Age, Free Press Journal, Afternoon and Youth Incorporated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit expensive when it comes to the unaided section I paid 14000 to 16000 roughly don't remember the figure so IT can be reduced to a certain extent again just a suggestion fee structure is affordable. These fees also include examination fees, library fees, gymkhana fees, etc. It has to be paid once a year each for three years.

Fees and Financial Aid

No loan facility was given but those who belonged to schedule caste and other backward casts their feeds were waived off fully or partially depending upon the circumstances and the stream the.studnet had selected

Campus Life

5

There were many extracurricular activities like carrom, table tennis, badminton court and was a seperate place for basketball. It was fun we played box cricket too and we had a big great campus, unlike HR.we have wonderful laboratories with all facilities for performing experiments for students with latest equipped technology and they all are well maintained and clean and tidy

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel infrastructure was very strong and well build. Our college is. 6storey building and has a canteen and a wide compound to play sports and practice and also an auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately around 1000 people.we have water coolers and clean and tidy washrooms and sanitary pads disposal kits too(as said by girls) .proper painting is done and there is no leakage anywhere

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors were very helpful and cooperative right from the very beginning and very polite and humble .they helped us in all aspects whether it was a study or any other things .we all were like family and no one was bullying the juniors but gave a helping hand to Thier juniors

Admission

The admission procedure is divided into 2 parts viz. One for junior college and other for graduate students. The junior college admissions began after the board's results and first merit list issued by the examination board .online and offline both admission by students were accepted. The students who got admission via online route were directly admitted to the college after they submitted their Thier 10th STD mark sheet and school leaving certificate and after verification, they were instructed to pay the fees for the course they chose and got the ID card. For offline students, it was tough as there were so many students who madly wanted to take admission in this college and so it was a nightmare but based on the availability of the seats a very few Students were allotted admission via an offline procedure

Faculty

5

The faculty of the college was very formal strict but supportive and student friendly too. They taught us so well that we need not join any other tuition too and thus we saved or money too. The faculty had immense and deep knowledge about the subject and they didn't give us education but they gave us knowledge. They solved all our doubts right in the class and even made theory subjects easy as they explained it in such a way that we need not mug up anything we had all concepts clear. The faculty proved a boon for us

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
