Sunil Kumae Gupta's Review On Sinhgad Business School - [SBS] Erandwane, Pune

Campus was new and it was addition to the Sinhgad group of institutes. At begining we thought of having good placement in future but college was not upto the expectation. Management just protected themselves for not providing good placement by saying that

I gave MAT and secured 94 percentile. At that time Sinhgad was offering dual specialisation hence I opted for this college. Moreover this college is the part of well known educational institute. Placement record was very good at their other campuses. Its infrastructure is also very good.

Curriculum of the course was very good with 8 subject per semester which also includes summer internship. At that time college was offering dual course where one was university course and other was autonomous.

Many companies visited in the campus to offer summer internship and some of the students got selected for the same. Some of the companies offered some stipend to their summer trainee. I did the same with HDFC Bank and received ?5000 as stipend.

Many companies visited the campus for final placement and offered average packages to the selected candidates. Companies like Tech Mahindra,Hawkins,HDFC,Reliance, ICICI Emcure,Responsive etc visited the campus. Very few students got placed. Package offered at that time was very less as compared to previous years because that was the recession time. I got placed with Emcure at just 1.2 Lacs package.

The main event celebrated in the College is Sinhgad Karandak at the Cultural Centre in Vadgaon Campus premises which is main campus among six at that time. Many cultural programs were performed by the participants in the events and it was very enjoyable and fun filled.

Fee was a bit expensive. Payment option was there for one time or in two break but both the options were costly. One time payment was 3.5 lac and at 2 interval it was 1 lac more. A student belongs to middle class family had to go for education loan.

From college side there was no help towards getting financial assistance. I took the loan from SBI by my own efforts and that too because of my father offered security to the bank towards loan.

It was average. College did not conducted much extracurricular activities. I was doing specialisation in marketing hence there were only 3 girl students in my class out of 60. but other courses offere by college like MPM DFT had good ratio of male and female.

Hostel facility for the erandwane campus was not available at that time however other campuses had the same. I was staying with my friends at rented flat so have no experience about hostel and mess.

Since we were the first batch of the erandvane campus we didn't know about alumni and seniors. However some students passed out from other campus of the institutes visited some time.

Generally exams for all the semesters were conducted in a very hectic type. All eight subjects were conducted on daily basis.

There were both type of faculties i.e. regular and visiting faculties. Class co-ordinator was very good and arrangement of lectures were very systematic. All the faculties were having deep knowledge in their command areas and they taught us very well.
