Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very good and high quality. If yu study this curriculum this will put you in top5% of the knowledge. Curriculum has great focus on Economics, Applied Economics and Maths and Statistics. Cuuriculum is great for further study in applied or research at best universities in the world. IGNOU can provide online classes or interactive classes on some topics to increase interaction. The exams take place in once a year either in june or december depending on the time admission taken. The exams are difficult and markings as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am currently paying 3200per year for mycourse at IGNOU. THE tuition fees same as 3200. We don't have any ther additonal fees. The fees of my batchmate is same as mine and there is no fees difference on category in my university. Additionally there is not any scholarship on tuition fees.
Campus Life
I don't have any campus life because since it is a open university. But there some online prgrammes that held for competition purposes. The books and journals are online for completely free. There are regional centresand study centres for on each city to clear any doubts you have or any problem you have. They are approachable on any given working day. It is just that you have to go there physically as they are less responsive on calls and emails. Since there is not any campuse life there are not any clubs or socities present.
Admission
I took admission in this college because of my health problems. And the reason in chose the open university of IGNOU is because of its currculum and global reputation. I didn't applied for anyother college. You have to apply online and there is no examination for entrance. Once you apply after some weeks or days you get admission confirmation email. Admission experience was smooth as admission process was completely online.
Faculty
I do not have ingormation on faculty-student ratio. But it is very bad. Dr Vijeta Banwari is very approachable and Prof. Kaustuva is also very approachable on email. But there is not a sense of close interaction with them. Because since it is a open university you don't get normal college going feeling. I can't name the rest of faculties but rest are less approachable on email.
