REVIEW ON PSG COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY'S PLACEMENTS

I have more interested in coding so i picked Computer Science and Engineering. As soon as i joined in this college i got very much happier because my college is the best place to do the course. As i expected, all the faculties are very much talented and they will teach the subjects in an understandable way. They are friendly too. In the first year there are faculties from other departments. From next year the core subjects arrives and our faculties taught that. Exams will be conductes once in every month and the entire semester will be a total duration of 5 months and they were in medium level difficulty.

there were many offers that were offered during our 3rd year which was around the 5th sem , intership offer was offered by companies like citi bank - 75000 pm , deshaw - 150000 pm, arista - 75000 pm, morgan stanley - 87000 pm, arcesium - 125000 pm, SAP - 35000 pm, walmart - 100000 pm, dover - 25000 pm, GE healthcare - 35000 pm and many more. projects played a mojor role in getting a good space in placements. the projects were more related to Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and DBMS, the projects were like TetisxDino game that was made using front end module such as javascript, html and css also there were many projects that explored more on machine learning.

There are only few colleges that provide a better placements, and there are many colleges providing fake placement report. But, in our college there are more than 85 percent placements specifically in our department almost all students got placed. There are various top companies visited already like Google, Apple, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Texas etc., My plan is to get placed and as i thought i got placed in a good company.

The yearly fee structure for my course is 88000 for councelling and 148000 for management courses. The tution fees includes placement fees, special fees, admission fees and it will change every year. The above mentioned fees is what i paid, i may vary yearly. In our college there are two kind of course self supported and government. If the course if offered by the government then the fees is around 20-25 k. There are various scholarships offered in our college every year. There will be a scolarship for all first gradutes around 27500.

Our college library is famous and it is called as G.R.D memorial library and it consists of all the books. The library is fully digitalized and the book should be return within 15 days. After 15 days, there will be fine for each day. Our college classroom will be seperate for each year and department. The same departement seniors and juniors will be nearby for great interaction. Sports is also good, i am the vice captain of our college badminton team. We won lots of tournaments. There are student portal to check our attendance percentage and marks. There are various clubs and events that will be conducted weekly.

The student hostel consists of various kind of rooms like 3 seater, 2 seater and 4 seater. The fees will be according to type of room chosen. I have chose 4 seater and the yearly fees is around 60000 and the mess fees will be around 50000 and it will change yearly. We want to book token for chicken, gobi in the website available specifically for that by loging in. Chicken will be available every tuesday, thursday and sunday. The quality of the meal is very good and there menu will be set for a week and each week it will repeat, there will be a change in the menu for every 6 months. There will be a semester feast which will be conducted on each semester and every year there will be hostel day. We want to register to hostel seperately and not through the admission on college. The room standards are good for living and there will be cleaning facilities. The quantity of the meal is good enough and it is unlimited based on the type of food

Our college is well known for placements which forced me to join here. My main focus is to get a admission in this college i didnt bother about other because my college is better then most of the colleges. To get into the college one can apply through TNEA councelling and the cutoff to get it depends on the department like for CSE one should have more than 196 and like that for others. On average 190 cutoff is enough to get into our college in any other department.

All the faculties in our department are exceptionally talented. There was around 33 faculties in our department. The teaching way in our college is standard. I personally liked my Operating System faculty and my tutor Ramesh sir who helped me in lot of ways. He is very strict but it helped us to do our works faster and perfect. We want to write internal examination and semester examination which will decide our final grade. The question paper will be standard and the difficulty level medium level. Only few of them got failed.

There will be no group discussions or interviews that will be conducted. One can get through this college via TNEA councelling or management which will cost extra fees. We can apply to TNEA councelling with our 12 th grade marks and also there is a condition that you must had been in the TN for 5 years atleast. there is also another way to get in is to try through a councellor who can guide you well through the process of admission.
