Remarks

There are some pros about the college but when you go to the negative aspects there's a list. Looking at the positive things we can say that the fee structure is feasible anybody can avail the course comfortably from this college. The negative aspects are that you will always have to be aware of the events and the activities taking place in the college will not notify you personally it is up to you whet you checked the website or not,you will have to run to the college for the smallest of concerns as there is nobody who will pickup the call, the revaluation process is cumbersome and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

B.Com(H) is the most popular course which a student of commerce background prefers after 12th. Here in this college also it is the same as the other colleges. Being an open college of Delhi University you can't attend any classes as there is none held other than the PCP classes which take place on Sundays. The course is quite popular it gives you fundamentals of the various subjects which you will need later in your life. The subjects taught in this course are Microeconomics, Business Statistics, Business Organisation and Management, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Fundamentals of Investment, etc.

Placement Experience

2

Don't expect too much from the college for jobs or placements. Though the college has started its own placement cell last year from 2018. There is not much opportunity to be seen. The highest package the college was offering was 2.90 lakhs p.a by the Dalmia group. In conclusion, I would like to say that it depends upon you that how much talent you have.

College Events

1

Events such as International yoga day Gandhi Saptah are given much importance in the college. Tree plantation also happens in college. There is no such thing as a college fest. Students dreaming about enjoying the college fests should never come to this college. Being an open college they don't give much importance to these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. Total for three years you will have to pay around Rs.10000.Which should be divided into three parts such as Rs 3000-4000 every year. Other than this you need not pay any extra money for anything in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship was available for the students. The students do get some help from the library section of the college the poor and economically weak students do get discounts to avail the books available. Also, the college fees are feasible for every class of the society you can get a degree for around Rs.10000 maximum.

Campus Life

2

There are no extracurricular activities taking place in the college. There is nothing such as labs.No sports event. However, there is a stadium near the college you can play there. The college does have a canteen inside the college. The course structure of the college is as such that there is no need for labs and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has no hostel facility. But if you are willing to stay in a hostel or pg around or near the college you can get a very good deal as there are a number of hostels and PGs near the college. The cost depends on the type of place you choose to stay in.A minimum of Rs.3000 per month for the stay and the same for the food and the total will be around 6000+1500 for personal expense for an average stay.

Alumni/Alumna

You can get in touch with alumni of the college if you personally know somebody graduating from college. The college does have an alumni section on the website. You can ask people you know about the experiences and opportunities they got after graduating.

Faculty

2.5

The college faculty is not so helpful when it comes to assisting students as you will not be able to reach them at times. They will certainly help you in some cases but not consistently as and when required.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
