Remarks

There are many positive remarks which I've already spoken about in the above questions. The negative remarks are also no less about our college. We have a strict dress code, not only on working days but on Sundays too. Attendance is the biggest issue in our college. People have to pay fine if their attendance is less than 85%. Even 6:30 classes are no less. Being in college for almost 12 hours is a big deal and some teachers expect that we won't fall asleep in classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

This program is an integrated program that includes BCom graduation with preparing you for CA. College starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. There are breaks in between. The first 4-5 hours is BCom classes and then CA classes. We've 2 exams per semester, mid and end semester. The mid semester is of 50 marks and an end semester of 100. Before and after mid semester we get assignments that carry 20 marks each.

Placement Experience

4.5

Christ is basically known for good campus placements. There are really good companies like big fours which come for campus recruitment. Our college does not provide internships. Most of the christies sit for campus placements and get selected.

College Events

3.5

There are many departments in our college, so every department has its own events. In our department every year there are almost 7-8 events are conducted. These events have their own uniqueness. When the new bunch of students arrives, for them our department conducts an event called confluence which includes fun activities that mingle seniors and juniors. There are some more big events which are intra department, inter department or inter college, like Cognito, blossoms, inbloom, future mun etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Every year there are different fees and different fees according to your previous residence where you came from. Localites have lesser fees than NRIs and other state students. For the first year of BCom f&a, we had Rs 96000 plus we had to pay for CA classes extra Rs 28000. Fees structure of our college cannot be said as cheap or expensive. It depends on different aspects.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any information about the loan facility if it is offered by college or not. But our college provides scholarships for students who excel in academics and sports. I don't have much idea about scholarships also because I never tried to inquire about it.

Campus Life

3.5

As a BCom student, we don't require any labs, all we require is just a classroom with benches. The college has a football field, basketball court, and tennis court. There are several sports teams from our college but as far as I'm concerned is that I used to swim before coming to the college, so there are not many facilities provided to sports like these in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

The college conducts many events in which they invite alumni students and there you get to talk to them about their experiences and how they performed in college. Yes, they are very helpful and friendly. This is one rare thing about this college is that you need to know your seniors more than your teachers. They are the ones who really help you to groom your personality.

Faculty

3.5

The teachers of our college are quite supportive of everything. They motivate us to take part in cultural and business fests besides just letting us focus on academics. For CA classes we've different faculty as there is another institution that has been outsourced to teach for this. But classes are conducted in college only after BCom classes. Those teachers are also very supportive of us taking part in other activities.
