Likes
- One of the few VTU colleges that doesn't just have academic excellence but also a great placement record since it's inception in 2007.
- Students are injected as much technical knowledge as they think they can get by studying in top colleges in Bangalore.
- Management has to be saluted as they have kept the professors in check so that they can never be biased.
Dislikes
- Extra curricular activities are too less here and that's not a good sign for top college like ours.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science Engineering is everyone's dream and those who say we chose Chemical or other stream as we wanted to, trust me it's all because they couldn't get CSE. Our course is same as that of all VTU colleges be it Ramaiah in Bangalore or other colleges of Karnataka which are VTU affiliated.
Placement Experience
Like every other college one has to be in the final year to be able to have placements. From Coforge to Goldman Sachs, from national to multinational all kind of companies come her for placements. The year 2023 was a record breaking year as around 85% students wer placed and this is much better percentage than the other colleges that I have mentioned in my review.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is indeed less as 1 lakh and a bit more for CSE is very much reasonable. For SC/ST students they have to pay much less and our college also runs and EWS scholarship where students coming from Economic weaker section of the society doesn't have to pay anything at all.
Campus Life
Our main technical fest is Prerna fest which is common for all the departments of the college. Besides that departmental fests are also way too many. But if I talk about other activities it is somehow lesser than the others. The campus is in excess of 60 acres where we have 3 canteens, 2 big play grounds and various indoor sporting facilities.
Admission
KCET scores decide which college you will get. Ofcourse JSS and Ramaiah were my first choice but my rank was a bit below and therefore I got th admissions here. So, it's not like one is rejected it's about th chocies and our ranks that help us get the colleges in Karnataka. The only area of improvement I see is increasing at least one section for CSE in all the colleges as CSE is in demand.
Faculty
CSE branch has maximum students and so are the number of faculties for our branch. I have maintained a smae level of relationship with all my faculties so pointing out somebody won't be good. I would love to praise the kind of injecting they do in making sure that we get our concepts clear as reading for marks has never been their agenda.
