Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

For the part of distance learning the curriculum seems flexible. The exam paper structure is also relaxing and the timings are also correct. I mostly opt for youtube vedios and refer to the question papers and is not familiar with any theaching methods.

Fees and Financial Aid

The IGNOU university provides a well favourable fee structure compared to other universities as is also affordable. The Intallement fee per year is 6000 (that is 4400 for semester fee and 1600 for examination fees). And there is further 600 reduction if opting for online soft copy rather than printed hard copy for materials. The bachelor degree of commerce is divided into three semester and the re-registration should be done at end end of each semester. There are no hidden fees or any other fees overlapping this. and only penalty fee for late payment on exam fees. When admission in 2021 the fee for semester was 2900 but it has changes in the relevent years and has stayed same for the past two, three years. The fee may vary accoding to the degree one is opting and mostly for the bachelor's degree it is the same. In terms of affordability it is rather affordable for the qualify education and valued degree. I think Scholarship's are not available for open distance learning .

Campus Life

2

As an online student i have no such as campus life , but when reached out study centres for queries they have not at all responded till date and emails are also not at all effective. They do not pick up the phones and if picked they do not respond at all. The exam centres gives good experince as they are well mainatiend and solves our problems with ease.

Admission

The admission process id so simple as we can do all the procedures online . Whether is for admission, re- registration, exam form submission and everything else. The reason i opt fot IGNOU is that it provide quality degree at reasonable fee and not so rigid curriculum.

Faculty

2

As i have opted for online learning there are not much interaction with the faculty members and the university seldomly provides any classes for the subjects and does not cover much topics. 99% of the time i relied on youtube and past year question papers to study for exams . The course stucture is well designed and managed and is also relevent as iin first year there are three english paper ( eng at workplace, communication and daily life). 2 subjects in first year ( English communication and Environmantal studies are out of 50) and the other papers are out of 100. and there are assigment marks added which in aggregate student should earn 35% overall.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
