Remarks

Overall it is an average college with decent placements. Faculty is average. Crowd is good. Location is very bad. No places to hangout nearby. It is 7kms from nearest metro station. Limited active societies.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course curriculum is very out dated. No new concepts and technologies are incorporated in the course. There are 2 internal exams and 1 final external exam. Internal exams are held in the colllege itself. External exams are held in some other college.

Placement Experience

3

Placements and job opportinities are quite limited. Alot of companies visit in the segment 3-6 LPA. There are 5-6 companies in the range 6-10 LPA. There are very few companies on canpus that had a CTC above 10LPA. There is no opportunity provided by college for internship.

College Events

1.5

No big celebrities visit the campus for fests due to low reputation. But for the past couple of years the level of Fest in MAIT has improved. It goes on for 2-3 days. The atmospere and the performances are enjoyable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is nearly 1 lakh for year Hostel fees is also near 1 lakh The fees is quite nominal compared to private colleges. Almost all colleges in IPU have fees in the same segment. MAIT holds the rank 2 in IPU.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no scholarships/loan facility offered by the college. Even if there is I haven't availed it. However there are cash prized for the college top rankers and the university rank holders. I haven't been to annual day, so I can't comment much about that.

Campus Life

2

There are not many active societies in the college. The only active societies in the college are Ayaam ( the dramatics society ) and funk in motion ( the dance society). There is a society in Mechanical Engineering ( Jatayu ).

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors I have interacted with, have been very helpful in terms of providing guidance for placement. They motivated me to pursue coding and prepare all the essential topics required for interview.

Admission

I appeared for IPU CET exam in 2015 and secured a rank of 1481. In the second round of counselling, I was allotted computer science branch in this college. I had to go to the college for enrollment and deposition of fees for admission.

Faculty

2

The level of knowledge and teaching is very poor. The academic atmosphere in college is not at all competitive. There are very few professors under whom research can be pursued. There is no strictness in terms of attendance, which gives ample time for self preparation.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
