Something good and smething bad about SRM ktr main campus

from a small age i was very fond of computers which leads me into this field, personally i am interested in cybersecurity and want to persue in the same field and do some progress into it. The curriculum doesnt prepare us for the real world applicaitons to be honest it relies on some old models which are of no use nowadays. The faculties should know what to teach and what are the things to be taught in the class instead of just wasting hour of precious time of the students The exams are decently maintained all long the semester, but sometimes it goes out of hands because they postpone the exam or prepone the exam which gives us very less time to study for the upcomming exam

From 7th semester students become eligible for placements and they can sit for campus placements. Infosis, TCS, AWS, are some of the major companies who come to this college for placements the average package of cse department is 8.75lpa almost 90% of the students do get placed in the college itself My plans after getting the degree is pretty simple, I will join some company if eligible or else ill persue further degree

as a CSE student in SRM i must say that annual fees structure of B.Tech CSE is 475000 which is pretty expensive honestly but they try to give some quality education. The tution fees, caution fees etc are all included in that, and for the SC/ST category there is different fees structure and they are give a long loose in the amount of fees My batchmates ahve the same fees as of me, but those who have above 9cgpa, they are given some discount on the fees based on their SRMJEE rank

there are many technical clubs like Rudra, Robotics lab, coding ninja, Nexus lab etc, they conduct many events like hackathons, ideathons, and workshops which are helpfull for students to ace their successfull career the classrooms are equipped with well managed AC's and smartboard for maximum comfort of the students there are sports contests which goes on thoughout the year like badminton championship, chess championship etc Rudra and coding ninja are the prime example of clubs run solely by students

The hostel faculties are pretty decent, the ammenities of the students are fulfilled and there is also a vending machine so whenever a person has to study late at night and he feels hungry so they can easily go and collect the food and enjoy it. The meal quality of our hostel is pretty bad i must say because they give such bad quality food which is something one can only eat if he is hungry enough ot digest it when there is booking for hostel the site gets crashed because soo many people try to book hostel at the same time

i applied for VIT and there was no specific reason for which i didnt go, it was just that i wanted a better college life which was in SRM. I also did applied for RVCE Bangalore but i got the mechanical branch of that college and i wanted CSE so keeping that in mind i didnt go there. The admission in my college is through an exam known as SRMJEEE on which i got in top 400students and thus got the seat for SRM

the student to faculty ration is pretty decent. There are many faculties ready to help the students and are also available whenever they need. 90% of time they are available but there is a 10% chance that they are not available and are busy. there are mainly 4 waves of exams CT1, CT2, CT3 and end semester exams which are medium-easy, if a person studies hard then they can easily ace all the exams without any hesitation.
