Course Curriculum Overview

Since we have more clinical and skill lab hours ..it is very useful for us students to gain more knowledge about theory as well as practical in nursing..we get to know how to treat patients and take care of them.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi...I am studying bsc nursing in Government Theni Medical College. I have got admission in this College through counselling for paramedical courses and since its a Govt college fees is around 11200 including tution,admission and hostel...and in 2nd yr its around 5000...and sc scholarship is around 12000/yr and for bc , mbc its around 8000/yr.

Campus Life

Since this is a Government colleges there are not many festivals...but we do celebrate freshers day and farewell parties along with other festivals like pongal , pooja. Diwali ,Independence day , New year, etc..

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good...and the annual hostel fee is around 300 rupees per year and mess fee is around 2200 per month...The menu is good but the food taste need a little bit improvement..and they also provide non veg thrice a week.

Admission

I have also applied to cmc vellore...but since i applied for Tamilnadu medical counselling..i got selected in Theni Medical College with my cutt off marks..hebce i didnt took admission in any other colleges

Faculty

The faculty and student ratio is good..We have a total of 8 semester each of which is for six months period..and the last semester is for internship period.The duration of the course is four whole years

Honest review of my college experience

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the final semester. As the first batch, only a few companies have visited so far, with limited offers made. The highest and average packages are still developing and not clearly defined yet. Currently, the percentage of students getting placements is low, but it is expected to improve in the coming years. After completing the degree, I plan to pursue higher studies and build a career in my field.

GTMCH- learning made simple and fun

I got into GTMC,purely based on my neet scores. It's the best place to learn medicine, very calm ambience with both hospital ,campus and hostel situated within close range,hence very easy to commute.Medicine made simple and learning made easier with friendly professionals and well read mentors.As theni is a semi rural area located in the border(near kerala) u are acquainted with variety of cases with cultural diversity.
