- syllabus is very advanced compare to other institute like makaut we read programming in sem 1 , dsa in sem2 etc etc.
- the location of the college is near biswa bangla gate
- supportive faculties , study enviroment, well equipped labs , and a library with all course books
Dislikes
- crowded too much sometimes we have wait many time to get lift
- no nearby xerox shop or any book store here
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum which snu have i am satisfied with it but the biology and physics in the cse syllabus makes it logicless. The syllabus which snu have makes you industry ready and it starts dsa in first year, you dont have to wait for 2nd year , also u will be one semester ahead of other collges . the exam pattern is easy so that students can score, it is divided in 3 ways midsem (20marks), assignments, attendence , projects(30marks), endsem (30 marks).
Fees and Financial Aid
i think the fee which i pay for my whole btech is over priced 7 lakhs for this college i will not recommend and they recently increased the fee to 8 lakhs, you also get svmcm scholarship if you are a home state student and also clg have some inner scholarships also.if you have tfw or any scheme this is the best option the overall fee will be 2.6 lakhs then.
Campus Life
campus is very crowded now a days as many students admitted in first year compare to those who passed out number is in huge difference , they also made a block b of this university were most of the classes of us are held.there are many coding clubs in snu but you need to have a good connection with people to get in that you can ask any one about that . all classroom have projector and the library have all departmental books . only limited sports can be played in snu as it have a basket ball court only .
Admission
i was first looking for good placements colleges in west bengal , but having a good rank as i have not passed in chemistry i could not make it so i took admission in snu. at first 3-4 years snu dont have that much good placement. but now a days college is improving day by day though it be placement or academics and also fees.you will be advanced than other collges i can say it.
Faculty
there are a faculty for a subject for every class (60 students),they are very helpful and supportive . they have a very good knowledge of the subject and a good teaching experience also . some are a little bit strict and some are very friendly but at the end they always help you in your doubts.
