Reality of college

Being a national institute of technology the kind of upliftment given to students is missing but yes we students can improve the atmosphere of the college and can make it more productive and can even help others.

Some of the subjects the course should definitely be updated we are leaning some of the extinct techniques.For our college the updation of course is must then only we will be familiar to new technology and no use of studying the course of 8 year ago Exam structure is also the same we are only taught how to score marks as marks are not there no CG if no CG no allowance to sit in interview.Hence some new methods should be used where we are really taught and explained about the improvement rather then following the conventional practice,some new method are required.

Yes being a national institute of technology provides better package than any other Institute or students who are really struggling hard for the job .being first yearite I don't know much about internships program but yes overall better opportunity than any of the local college.

From the cultural point of view small events such as shamiyana, Music trails , unplugged and other events are there For sports point of view for cricket there is a night cricket tournament established the volly griz for the volly ball is established. Then for the main event Sparsh is there Which is a technocultural event having day and night event . For fresher abhinandan event . For the technical event like grand robot Prix and many other events are executed.

Yes fee is little high as compared to other local college but fee remission allowances are provide by central government so the relaxation in fees for the students whose family income is lower can also afford the college.

Dayanad scholarship is provided in the college but as it is centrally governed the fee remission facility is also provided which can help the students whose income is less and even for those who can cannot pay the entire fee.

Sports is prominent as inter Nit matches are conducted.from lab point of view some of the tools needs really to be repaired or updated.some good labs are also there Which are having very advanced facilities but some labs needs serious improvement.

On a scale of 10 I would rate the hostel as 7.5 as it is better than others hostel freedom as well food is also provided well in the hostel since the hostel is inside the campus area it becomes easy to go to college and even the buses are provide which can take students to college and entrance of campus.infrastructure wise the hostel is really good as compared to others.

Yes there is not great alumni network but senior are really helpful as they provide better technical knowledge about the required stuff And even they are better than any other college ragging is not prominent here.

Some faculty are extremely updated and can teach well but as the syllabus is bounded they can you express their ideas.while for others there is a saying ' All PhD done students cannot teach' this coming in class and showing PowerPoint presentation and reading(not explaining) what is in the slides has become prominent.Problem is that Some have come into teaching. Field as they are unemployed or getting less salary in practical field.
