Remarks

The college has best faculty. The college has best teachers of University. Maximum of them are author . The students union demand many rupees which is more than the fees of the college in the name of Fest, puja etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm currently studying for old syllabus of Calcutta University . The university has changed its pattern of exam . Now and earlier both pattern of exam are best . The present system is more effective.

Placement Experience

Yes . There is also opportunities of placement in Goenka College.So many companies come to our college and provide job . The most job are based on exam and interview. I'm also trying to get the job in this year.

College Events

Republic Day And Independence Day: It is the great day which is specifically celebrated in our college where we all participate in different activities like speech, singing, dancing, etc. Sarswati Puja : Greatly observed Goenka College Foundation Day: Celebrated with great joy

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since Goenka College Of Commerce And Business Administration is the Government College, it's fee very low. Any poor students can get admission in this college and study b.com and m.com with no burden of high fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't get any scholarship or loan provided by college administration. But the college distribute scholarship to the poor students of college after taking interview . It distribute scholarship on Foundation Day of Goenka College

Campus Life

I like to play cricket, sing , dance. The best game is cricket by which the whole exercise of body is done . I'm also teaching more than 50 students currently of class 11, 12, and b.coms the old and new syllabus.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Seniors are always helpful in any college. Our senior help us in many cases whether related to study or other matters . They provide us every information which we needed by calling them at anytime

Faculty

The College has great faculty. Any student can study in our college . It is the college where very less fees required to pay as it is purely Government College. The principal of college is amazing. He is very helpful.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

INSIGHTS OF GCCBA

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission offers in SXUK, Jaipuria THK Jain and Bhawanipur college, But this was the best option I had. The admission process is through your boards marks. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
