Remarks

Faculty member tried their best but management through them out of the collage. Dirty politics were played between the teachers. The college is still running because of some bright students and some rich students. The only statergy is to score nice marks

Entrance Preview

AIEEE & WB joint Score 30000 in WB joint. Score-93421 in AIEEE Due to humour of High placement and ease of location.

Course Curriculum Overview

We can't expect from struggling faculty. Nice and easy going behaviour of professors and Principal. Standard were mediocre and beliefs in mugging up the question.

Internships Opportunities

Companies were TCS and Bentley with internship of 2.8 lpa for both. Syntel with internship of 2.8 lpa . Eligibility were 60% throughout with no back locks.

Placement Experience

38 students were selected for TCS .2 were selected for Swades with is an local company in durgapur.Swades offered a package of 1.8 lpa .TCS offered a package of 2.8 lpa.

College Events

Fest were organised regularly along with Robotics fare, Asha mela, NSS, Dramatic competition,Cultural Event, Blood donation campaign ,Inter college technical competition along with quiz and online technically test.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure were highly expensive.Tuition fee of 38000 per semester.University fee of 2000 per semester.Library fee of 500 per semester.Games and sports 500 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship were provided for minority student , TFW.Government loans were provided.I personally avail WBMDFC scholarship.

Campus Life

Campus life were boring with no technical environment. Study material were limited and only bookish. They taught us how to boil rice and expected us to prepare biryani in examinations.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms were big , with 24 hour WiFi facility with neat and clean beds and proper water supply.Foods were tasteless with no variety with no non-veg.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Ragging free environment. Seniors were supportive . Seniors were extremely helpfull and always guided us. Alumni were freindly and ready to help. Somewhere money oriented.

Exam Structure

Exams were based on mugging up the notes.Exams and labs were frequent leaving with hectic days and lots of pressure.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
