Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because i was inspired by my teacher and i always used to love biologu so heve i took up biotechnology and specialization in genetics engineering because it sounded good no actually genes intrest me a lot. The curriculum prepares you really well for the real world feel you have speak infront of teachers present your presentstions infront of them thus making your speaking skills more advanced and helping ypu build up your confidence same goes for the clubs they also do the same thing. Still now i havent come across any areas of improvement in the course curriculum or teaching methods so i am not going to comment on that frequency is in every month you will be having some tests gaps will be provided for you to study difficulty level.i think is Moderate they give two sets in every examx one is tough and the other is comparatively easy always

Internships Opportunities

4

I havent come across many of the internships till now so i dont have a major idea over it cause internships are mostly available from second year and also it is recommended to take them up from second years. I didnt get the second question of yours

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester i think many big companies vist every year i have heard about that mass recruiters dream company super dream companies then marky companies these are the companies which come for giving placements Highest package was 58 lakhs given by amazon and the avg package is close to 7 lakhs 50 thousand i think 80 percent of students get placements my plans after getting degree is to apply for mtech in foreign countries and applying for scholarships to get into those foreign colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

I am responsible for paying 2 lakh 85,000 per year for tuition fees and 2 lakh 18,000 per year for hostel fees. I have been informed that the CSE courses are slightly more expensive than the course I applied for. I am not aware of the scholarships and financial assistance available, hence, I cannot provide a definitive answer.

Campus Life

4

The names of the annual and technical events are milan and aarush the technical event aarush is mostly held in Octobers of each year and milan is held mostly in February march of each this time because of rain alert aarush is thinking of shifting the event to January. There are a lot of books available in the library to read and gain knowledge you can find book on each and everything according to me but if you would be searching for fictional books i think they are less there. The facilities and everything are all good in the classes but if i talk about lab equipments they can be made better with more investment. Sports and Extracurricular activities in the campus are flooded to the brim each day you will find something new so you will be always on your tips and toes for these Extracurricular activities There are a lot of clubs over here so you can get into many clubs for your skill upgradation. I would aay the clubs play a very important riles in giving you Certificates and internships other than that what i didnt like is that they dont have separate clubs for every thing which needs creativity they are under different domains under each clibs under creatives

Hostel Facilities

4

The room in agasthiyar block for the first year are quite spacious but if you ask me about other blocks like Adhiyamann pari kari oori they have really small rooms lights are provided with ac and working fans there are tables and chairs for helping you study as well the bathrooms are also well made only that the commode gets clogged from time to time the rooms are cleaned everyday by the workers too. The meal quality is okay not that great and the menu is always the same they only make two three changes in every two months that is their menu registration process of hostles is very hectic you cant get a hostel if you are not very fast the hostels get booked very fast. I dont know about pgs and rooms

Admission

I applied to twp colleges only as they provided a grade course of mathematics in the first year one is vit and the other is srm i couldnt clear the vit exams so i was unable to get a seat there but i cleared srm exam so here i am in srm studying btech biotechnology if i wpuld have gotten into both of the colleges i would have chose vit because the average package was much better in that college than this college the admission process of srm is through srmjeee conducted every year in two phases i can give you this much info right now as i didnt go too deep into this thing

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is great some of the faculties are really approachable if you wpuld ask them anything they would help you with it but some dont listen at all or if they listen they are always in that agitated state of not listening i dont think it would be good to disgrace any teacher so i wouldn’t provide you woth the names of any teacher even the good ones but i can say our maths english physics evs and coi teachers are really great the eee teacher is harsh and strict but teaches well and the lab teachers are good in both egd and physics there are two cycle tests or three cycle tests in each semester then one university exam so the exam is not that tough or not that easy too it is manageable the marks are divided on external and internals internal consist of cycle test and assignments which accounts to 60 marks and the external is the university exam which constitutes to 40 marks hence making the total hundred marks each subject has a grade the greater the grade the more it will hamper your cgpa if you score less in that subject

Placement Experience:

Placement is little dull in this college due to students nature , most of the Students are move to higher education. They offer Placement in the final year if you are interested just apply for it. Moreover you can use the college brand name to get job opportunities outsides. My plan after completing my degree is move for post graduation and to clear any competitive examination. The highest placement in the college is upto 13lakh per annum. Its very decent for a arts amd science college. And this college provides more intership opportunities in the final year.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
