Likes
- The main thing I liked about our campus is that we have every facilities available like health centre where the treatment is free of cost and not like other colleges and the academics are the best everything is properly maintained
- The next thing is the amount of concentration they give to sports and activities and all the sports facilities are of good standard especially badminton
- The amount of clubs vnit have is a pretty good thing because everyone has the opportunity to join any one of the club like acting singing coding etc
Dislikes
- The main thing i disliked is the mess food the mess food is not upto the expectations everyday the food is almost constant mainly lunch and dinner and the taste of the food is ok ok
- The classes will be hectic it's not that if it is nit it does not mean we have many free time but everything will have their own time for sports and for studying
- The hostel in time is a big issue because the classes will be over at 6 and we have to enter the hostel at 8 so that's a big issue only for first years this issues not there for seniors 2nd 3 rd years
Course Curriculum Overview
The course cariculum in our college is pretty good and much of them are pretty relevant except engineering drawing because as of mining engineering we do not require engineering drawing but we have a course called communication skills which is pretty relevant for every aspect like internship job interview etc but I think for every college mainly nit have the same course structure The exams are conducted 2 times a sem and we will have quiz practical and viva so the marks of all the things are added and cgpa is made and assignment are also given for internals the exams are easy to moderate
Placement Experience
The campus placement is decent for non core as well as core because the highest package offered this year is 64 lakhs I think so and the avg is 13 lakhs for cse and for mining highest is 14 lakhs and avg is 10lakhs in mining engineering mostly everyone gets placed
Campus Life
Our campus life is pretty good when compared to other colleges like privates and some nit we have a technical fest called aarohi and we have freshers day for first years called tarang and many cultural fest are also kept here which we have a lot of fun we have a campus are of 200 acres and on that only 100 is useful which contains all the infrastructure we have all the facilities like clubs and mentors which is a pretty good thing for students the club's make the college shine bright
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is pretty good when compared to other nit because the room is spacious and 3 people or 2 people will be there in a single and we have a common bathroom and the food quality is ok ok mostly the mess food menu is constant mainly North indian the registration process happens with the admission process only and we have to bring out own bed and everything else each person will be provided with a shelf where you can keep things
Admission
I mostly applied for all the colleges which is available in josaa councelling other than that I didn't apply for any colleges mainly private I chose vnit because of the exposure I will get which I may not get at home state colleges and the good ranking of the college and good academic make this a college a good college to choose the admission process is a little bit complicated not like any other private colleges we have to show each and every document which we have submitted with orginal and duplicate we just have to follow the instructions and do it before the deadline so that there is no risk in anything
Faculty
As I mentioned earlier the faculty are Highly educated and they can be approached at any time daily motivation will be given for us as for our branch we have many professors who are in the list of top 2 percent researchers in the world and the exam are easy to moderate if we properly learn all the things and the checking depends on prof to prof and the course cariculum is same for all 1st year and many of them are not relevant like engineering drawing the relationship with professors are good and can ask any doubt any time .
